I don't really know what to say so let's just follow the list.

First, story. I affirmed that I have watched this version completely and may have skipped a few scenes which are cliches and so I would know what's going on without really seeing it. Another reason would be, I watched the 2008 version around a third of the way to the end. So, I kinda know the story already. I think it was a good story, very vague here because there's nothing super unique here that makes it good. What I can say is that regardless of there being a 10 year gap between this and the previous version, what I can say is that this version's take on the story is much different compared to the older one. I feel the older one to have much raw emotions whereas here is much more on the fierceness and their stubbornness. Comparing two similar scenes from both versions, I can tell they try to make it emotional for the older one while for this one they just touched on it for plot progression.

Another point I would like to say is that the writers truly tried to "learn from their mistakes" kinda thing for this version by cutting some scenes and revamp some scenes which I think was perfect although there were some funny scenes which I was disappointed that they cut it. About the romance, yes I love it. I lived for the leads' scene together but as some have noticed, it was never detailed how the leads' fell in love with each other. It's like they argued and argued and argued and then suddenly you noticed they have some feelings for each other

On the cast, this one I can't deny that they chose very well. The FL was able to show a super scary and fierce side at one minute and then be vulnerable and emotional the next minute which I liked a lot. Many people said the FL was less beautiful than the SFL but I think she's beautiful enough. The ML was handsome but he's more towards the cute side. And this is where I believed the dynamic of their scenes together becomes different due to his looks. I loved the Mother's actress, plainly she was probably one of the reasons I watched this drama because looking from the trailers she was bound to be a really funny character and she really did! She's truly one of the highlight of the show! And probably the only truly crazily clever one in the show because as she said " she ate lots of fish". The rest are okay but the casting for the maids? Siripon and Jitjai, I don't know, I really don't feel it was necessary to have two of them. It was better only one like the older version. Overall, good casting. And the acting, no words to describe better but excellent.

Music, I was plainly annoyed by the music during the first half and most of the episodes because whenever they argued or there was some struggle scenes, the BGM would play and it's a really "make you wanna fight" music which I don't particularly like. They only had one OST on which tune they played around with, which well I liked. The OST was beautiful and really expressed the leads' story, a touch which I liked about the song.

Rewatch value? Hmm, I would probably watch it again but maybe focused on the interesting and funny and romance scenes. At this moment, I am currently downloading every single episode for it. So yeah, I will most probably rewatch it. To be honest, while waiting for the subs, I still watched the unsubber spoilers figuring out which episode had the good scene and can't wait to see it subbed and then watched the same scene when it's already subber. So what more won't I do.

Overall, I don't really know what to say so I just blabber on but this was definitely a good story and one interesting thing here is that even if you watched the older version and then watched this version or vice versa, you won't get lost in the story or who is who, as their mannerisms, speech and characteristics are all similar. But the tone and how the story plays out is certainly different and made it a good show.

PS. If my review was lacking, I'm sorry, I really want people to give it a try.

PSS. I would like to take this chance to salute Neko Meow Meow who despite having troubles three times or so while subbing this drama with her website, she still managed to continue and subbed it really really fast, at first once a day and then twice a day and then to finish off, she did three for the last day. She was an awesome heroine subber!!

This drama is just a beauty. I don't really want to watch Thai Ancient Dramas as in Thai lakorn which is set in the past, i don't know why myself. In fact, it was due to this reason I skipped past this drama when a clip came my way in Youtube. But, I knew now how wrong I was about this drama. This drama is just amazing in how it incorporates history and drama so well.

I did not feel bored at all watching this, There's always something exciting to see, a place, a person or just daily everyday life. Despite it retelling history, but I not getting bored, to me says a lot at how well the writers planned out the story. There are moments where I find myself listening to trivial historical stuffs like what they trade the most at the moment and who is who but in the end, I did not skip or did anything but continue to listen as if it was a casual conversation. The inquisitive nature of Kadesurang was an important factor in here. If she was not there, I feel that I would not listened to all that and got bored instantly. She is the backbone of the story and that's one of the reasons I like her character so much.

The story has an excellent use of sound effects that just cracks me up all the time when it is used for comedic reasons. I enjoyed everything about this drama, from the story, to the cast especially the supporting characters as well to the history. It felt like a laid-back drama. Nothing too heavy or serious. I can't not watch this drama without watching every single minute. That speaks a lot as I tend to skip some scenes if I don't feel like watching it. And I didn't feel like not watching it at all throughout the drama.

To end this review, i declare this drama to be able to compete for the number one spot in my drama list out of all the dramas I have watched in my life. It is just that amazing. I wanted to give it number one but I know for sure there will be dramas as great as this in the future. And moreover, there's a SECOND SEASON. I bet it won't focus so much on the current leads but at least if I am able to continue to see this cute and lovely couple, I am more than dee chai laeo (happy already)

Don't miss it, everyone. Rewatch value? TOTALLY Rewatchable!!!

Been waiting for so long for this drama to get subbed from the official Youtube channel and finally finished it recently when I discovered that Neko Meow Meow has been subbing it. Anyways, on the story,

It was nothing too serious of a plot which was nice given that the story can easily get heavy with its setup if the writer so wants to. Thank God the writer didn't did that. The whole story basically centered on one, what do they call that? Plot Item?  And well, the lead girl being persistent with it which to this day, I still don't know whether it's good or bad. And then for some reason, while watching this series, I felt something lacking in it and I can't seem to get my head wrapped around it.

Though since it's a quick drama, there were some cases where they just place stuffs to accelerate the plot and not let things drag on which is kinda nice, not really complaining about that. Maybe just a tiny bit. Somehow accelerate is not quite the term but you'll get it if you watch it,  something like the writer wants 'this' to happen so the writer somehow made a sub-plot to make it a reality.  Something like the flow is not so natural. There are times when I go, 'Wait, what? When did this happen?'

But for me, the huge plus for me in this series was the budding romance between Secret and Summer. They were just so cute, especially that scene and that scene ( can't mention spoilers) Anyways, just saying they were the main reason I wanted to see this series till the end despite the lack of something that I felt because I want to see their happy ending which was not so much an ending that I hope but still, it is a decent one. It is a pretty light and fun romance to watch. They did the best they could with that 4 episode window.
