I had this drama on my plan to watch list since it aired (mainly because of the plot) and I’m so happy I finally gave it a go. The story was interesting and most of the characters were fun to watch. The couples in this drama were literally the definition of a healthy relationship. Granted the ML did hide a few things from the FL, but it was really to protect her. I loved their communication and love for each other. The second couple were just amazing. The friendship between the two FLs was beautiful to watch. I’m still surprised by the rating but completely understand why some commenters felt the way they did.
I completely took the ending differently from everyone else. When I read the comments users were saying the whole drama was based on her book, however I don’t think that to be true. For starters she was wearing the ring that Wu Yu gave her. Also, Wu Yu drew images of Dali City for the second time, once when Tan Jiao pushed him through the portal, and a second time when they both went through it.
My theory is that at the beginning of the drama TJ had an idea for her book so she booked a cruise trip to get inspiration. Then the events we saw took place (not sure when she finished her book because when she wakes up for the first time she’s surprised her book isn’t available). Then she goes back in time and goes through the same events once again. Then when she comes back with Wu Yu she loses her memories (again) and re-writes the same plot based on the incidences that took place. I think the writer had to make it seem like the stuff that happened was all from her book in order to follow the time travel ban. Regardless it was interesting to read how others interpreted the ending. This is why I love the comment section.
I was debating whether I should still power through or just drop the drama, currently on episode 2, but after…
Coming back to report that after ep. 2 (just finished episode 3) I completely fell in love with the drama. Not sure if it will remain like this until the end but for now I’m gonna continue watching 🙂
I haven’t seen the original but I absolutely loved this drama. I can see why part 2 was rated higher than part 1. Kept me in the edge of my seat. Got me yelling and talking to my screen lol.
This is the second drama that I was disappointed with the ending. Why the hell did they not show how the other characters were doing. They had additional time and could have shown us clips of them as well. One thing I will say is I’m soooo happy the directors family kicked him out and he ended up not getting any of the money. That’s a win in my book.
Just finished this drama! Honestly, it started off kinda below average for me, but it got so much better later…
I was debating whether I should still power through or just drop the drama, currently on episode 2, but after reading your comment I decided to continue watching until episode 6 then I’ll decide. Thank you!
I can’t believe I took this long to watch this drama. I did not see those plot twists (avoided watching or reading spoilers). I will say the director is the one character I hated to the core. Tokyo, Denver and his father were favourite characters. Off to watch part 2.
I stopped watching 50+ episode dramas but the writer omg the writer is one of my favourites. Maybe I’ll give the first few episodes a chance and then go from there.
I just asked if the ML gets more screen time. Unfortunately I’ve dropped dramas where the lead get less air…
Thank you so much for letting me know all of this. What would have made me drop is definitely the screen time, and based off your previous comment you were spot on as I checked most of the episodes and I barely saw him in it. I’ll just drop this one and pick up something else. Thanks again for your help!
This is probably the first time I skipped like more than half of the drama and did not miss any plot points, it…
I just asked if the ML gets more screen time. Unfortunately I’ve dropped dramas where the lead get less air time compared to the supporting casts. I really don’t want to drop this one because I’m truly enjoying it, but it’s not fun when you don’t see the other leading member as much.
I just checked and episode 1 and 2 are normal for me. Try checking again if you haven’t done so. If it’s still…
Oh VoS is on my PTW and unfortunately I dropped My Journey to You. Funny enough I liked the 2nd lead couple as well and ended up watching their parts on YouTube. I rarely get them as well (2nd lea syndrome) but when I do it hits hard.

Ok, I’m even more excited now. Can’t wait to pick it up. Currently watching Fated Hearts and once I’m done that one I’m gonna pick up Fangs of Fortune.

Oh that’s good to hear. I’m currently watching Glory right now so I’ll pick this one up after I’m done that one. I know Viki only has 3 episodes but is the drama serious?
