They have already added lots of extras for Nangong Wan. In donghua the audience love Mo, that's why I think the drama team had taken notice and expanded Mo's stories. She is also an important character which is linked to the 2nd FL in the future. There will be more of Nangong Wan after Hanli achieve Nascent Soul.

It's impossible to finish in one season :D The first volume of the novel (spiritual realm) took the author 5 years to complete and contains 2446 chapters. The second volume (immortal realm) took another 5 years and has 1394 chapters. It's donghua version is now in season 4 and only at 600+ chapter, about 1/4 through the first book.

Sorry but you're completely wrong. On the cover of the novel where this drama is based on, it was written: "In this modern society, if there is a person who carries memories of two lifetimes and loves you, how fortunate that can be. Shiyi is such towards Zhousheng Chen. But he had already forgotten her." In the drama there were also hints everywhere that she carried the memories, and she even told him about it. I'm really puzzled how you didn't get it.
