They ruined this in the last 2 episodes (mostly Jiang Chang Yang). I was waiting for them to really get together and work together as a real couple.

yes, i was criticizing the writers that take us for fools. They want to give us a HE because a lot of viewers want a HE most of the time(including me). But the problem is, first they to make it impossible to have a real and lasting HE but forcefully give the protags a HE.
That is like telling us to "Shut Up, ignore the logic, and just be satisfied with the slop HE that YOU(the viewers) wanted".

So, does DJ suffer from punch drunk syndrome or CTE? Hope not. Because writers might make up tart and try to convince us that he was cured at the end

I thought about it, but I want people to understand Liu Hao Cun would be a good choice for a non-romance drama like this one.
I saw some comments saying they won't watch this because of her, and I didn't want people to think she is fundamentally a bad actor. My comment also explains why people might not like her. Sorry that I conveniently rambled about another drama though as I didn't want to copy paste to the drama page 😅

Professionally I think Liu Hao Cun is a decent actress with the plus point of being stunningly beautiful.

But Personally she will always be a dissatisfaction factor for me because of how she degraded my ideal adaptation for the drama 'Be Passionately in Love' by not providing the warm hug of romance the novel deserved. Why take on such romance heavy projects if you can't deliver what the source wants to deliver.
But I dont blame her too much, as even without her, the drama would be a big disappointment. I didn't like a lot in the drama like the scene transitions, the emotions portrayed, the romance, the music, the angles of video, the videography, the heart to heart talks between the leads and more. But Ibloved the visuals of the leads for sure, lmfao.
Most novel get just one chance at adaptation and this drama destroyed expectations.
I think the producers and directors need to study the source novel a lot of times and provide us with a standard drama. Such a shame, as I loved the quirky interactions and the romance in the novel.

It's not that I dislike sad endings but I just can't bring myself to watch the drama(even if the Drama is really good with high rating).
And even if I do watch it, I tend to subconsciously lower my immersion factor.
Funnily enough though, I can't help myself from looking at the comments(98% of the time) to know if the drama has a SE or a HE.

from what I've heard, you can watch this directly. If I'm not wrong this has been rebreanded as a standalone with refreshed storyline and characters

Episode 9 was a little underwhelming tbh

This episode had a debuff (7.5/10). The progression was too artifical/bland. I wasn't really excited at any point. Both romance and investigation was buffered

The story takes place inside the innerworking of a conglomerate. And the characters are mostly employees of the company. So it is a "workplace setting"
And, in any organization there is a organizational hierarchy, so the characters are already in 'boss/superior and subordinates' relationship aka "Boss-Employee Relationship".

And now, by pure chance I've come across the fact that it's getting a Drama adaptation?
If done right , it could make for a great, comedic series that encompasses a peaceful, yet quirky and uniquely distinctive vibe.
