There is no need to attack me, but it's nothing to do with plot versus character. There is no need for fire, arson, murder, etc etc in a business story. Normal businesses have enough challenges (and 'characters') without these over-the-top scenarios that have nothing to do with a business theme.

I wish the series focused on the business underdog success story and didn't devolve into revenge/interpersonal crises and unnecessary backstories. The business story itself would have been so inspiring to watch.

Incorrect. Malaysia is a peninsula and has islands. It has approximately 800-900 islands around the peninsula. Indonesia has a lot more.

It's an interesting drama - very different from the usual kdrama formats and really engaging/funny in parts. Some parts (the mythology/past) are quite draggy though. It could have been made tighter, but overall it's still a fun binge watch with some small amounts of fast forwarding and it's definitely a 8-8.2/10. Glad I gave it a shot despite the reviews.

I think some people spend all their lives taking offense. I really hope the mods take a look

A king from my country became king at age 17, but luckily he ended up ruling for decades, became very mature and left a lasting legacy. I bet he did lots of stupid stuff as a teenager that noone knows about. The trouble is, the real life king Yi Heon is based on became king at 19 and died pretty young as well. He had no time to correct his mistakes, earn wisdom or leave a legacy.

The theme is the same but the plot, leads' personalities etc are completely different. I definitely felt no similarities while watching

It's a very heavy drama, as a warning. It has themes of domestic violence and lots of bad things happen to the leads. You will cry a lot. But I would call it a happy ending (kind of).

Also, from the flashback we know that her mom is already dead and she sees the body at the beach. So why was she surprised with her father's admission in the last episode?

I wish I hadn't started this series, it's been three days since I finished it and still feeling emotional

I'm glad she was carrying a vintage style hobo bag and not a Prada or Chanel or something on the flight. The Joseon era people would have had a shock!
