I was just wondering about the timeline, if anyone could help explain... The voice calls were precoded before the first date between SH and JS right?

So it seems that somehow we get SH talking about feelings for both SW en JS during these episodes, but having already made a 'choice' before the actual date, or so it seemed... Might be the editing, but it looked like that, so just wondering...

For some reason they will not upload the series anymore on youtube, but on GMM25 (Thai) and SPOOX (Japanese) tv-channel only. There would be somehow an update on the IG account of the series tho for further notice on certain countries...

beauty vs plot ... the battle begins

Only thing keeping me invested up till this point is the hope it will all come around for Name, might be at double lightspeed seeing how this keeps getting sadder by the week, but hey it has to come right.... xD

So a season 2 right.... hmmm why not make a better plot for the first season. I mean I loved a few things here all in all, but the one thing that was seriously lacking, in my honest opinion, was the lack of decent plot development. Guess we will see what it brings in a season 2 tho... more drama lolz

lolz there goes the one couple we all had been routing for... don´t know why they must insist he ends up with Green while Shogun is from our point of view a better match with him. Oh well 4 eps to go, guess they will make Green step in now... but I will always wonder why lolz.

For one instance, the trope about ´friends with benefits to lovers´ or more the sexual undertone a series wants to portray during character development. But a show who brings more the narrative of getting from friends to lovers and ends with the confession, I don´t see the part it ´must have´ the famous ends with a kiss scene.

In depth reference can easily provide just as much. An introvert like Nekoyashiki will highly unlikely initiate a kiss on his own for instance, the extravert Kazama could instead do this, but without the consent or even feeling at ease for Nekoyashiki in plain public would also be kinda weird.

Cultural reference, the public display of affection in Japan as a whole is also (hetrosexual or homosexual) not something you are likely to see as well.

No like seriously this show is really good. People are allowed to have a negative opinion for this show not providing a kissing scene, but I for one didn´t feel like it needed one. Extra shout-out for the actors, they really were great in portraying their emotions. Overall a funny and lovely story, the manga-elements inside also provided a nice touch to the show, making it certainly extra fun.

Wow, I am really enjoying this one! Compared to plot/acting from kissable lips, this one is so much better. Really glad they got to show their talents in this one, cause it really is good.

I actually like the chemistry of this series a lot, I mean it is nice seeing the fancy glamour from shows nowadays, but the old school vibe sure delivers as well. Plot is typical more or less, but the portrayal of emotions really stand out, that in combination with the actors being also quite comfortable around each other in lots of friendly skinship so far.

The show needs the emotional snare, and so far the main couple more than delivers. Hope to see it continue after their time skip as well

Guess episode 7 will start from sweet honeymoon to hellevator. You know when things start going right, drama is on the way. I hope they take their time expressing the sad and dark feelings for a good time and don't rush it. Those chapters are the most meaningfull imo for their future relationship.

True, even in the novel you don't get the vibe of their really so called close friendship lolz. Remember she also knew about Ploy cheating on Vee and didn't say it (it was Bar who said it), I get the only ones who really help Vee are Bar and Nuea later on.

Well if you want to know the bigger plotpicture, they have already filmed those in their original short 'En of love series'. So you kinda know what is going to happen anyways :p

In theory we can expect near episode 7-8 to be the major bomb episode, it makes for a good ending of the episode so if 6 is the happy one, we can expect 7 to be de deadly one. 8 will be depressing for 9 to work things out towards a happy 10th ending.

But since a lot still happens in the novel, I am curious in how they will deal with it. They have enough to cover, so they might make adjustments like they did now as well to bring a more balanced story overall. I really look forward towards this ending and how to deal with it, for that is in my opinion the best about the book overall. To clear all the things up they had since the start :p.

Hmmm I find they portray it differently in both the novel as the series so far. I believe Vee doesn't cling onto the relationship he had with Ploy, following his actions and thoughts throughout we see that Ploy and Vee (even without Mark being an active part in it) were growing apart. Note that Ploy was already playing with Ton around before Vee had even took Mark home for their drunk sex adventure. The main reason why Mark and Vee got to grow and develop feelings is also by chance that Ploy was meeting with Ton consistently throughout this period, making Vee always end up alone, with Mark nearby in need of help/comfort/whatever. This makes the base for their feelings towards one another.

While Vee and Ploy are during this time still together, we know that the break was initiated by Ploy to see where things could go officialy with Ton, while in a crude way making Vee a second safe house for when things would not end well lolz, but still Vee did not mind it really for at that time he knew his gf was no longer his. While down at first, he is actually taken care of by Mark and is suprisingly well not missing Ploy. During this time he makes the mental shift from accepting what he has with Mark towards choosing Mark over Ploy and ending things with the latter for good.

Vee being poor is also not a reason, for it is known in the novel that both Mark (really rich) as Ploy (well off) don't have money issues. Vee is from a standard family, not poor but not overly wealthy either.

The insecurities are there tho. In large part for being straight and never having feelings for guys, towards how he should deal with his gf that is no longer his, towards a boy that came into his life and wants to be with him, the whole outing and gay stuff, the parents reaction to it, ... .

But as you said it, the twist will come and become hard and painful for both Mark and Vee, while it also provides an end to a toxic situation and having time to clear things up and restart anew if plausible.

From episode 4 and onwards the released episodes are by default the director's cut, so they will stream for free on wetv as well, but always one week after the original airing date.

The director's cut is free on wetv, since the episodes 1 to 3 have already aired before. You can find them beneath their original episode, but with the tag 'Director's cut' with it.

Do mind they release each week only being next friday the director's cut for episode 2, week after for the last one nr 3 free for all to see.

Honnestly, plotwise nothing really. I watched it because I was curious and don't mind rewatching it since I just had finnished reading the novel. While it was 10 min extra, it was mostly cuts here and there for extension of conversations with friends, each other or some scriptlines added like one sentence stuff.
