Completed all the episodes, never expected tan jianci act so well in comedy genre. He is 100/10 effortlessly... He is acting skills in this genre need to be studied.. Not exaggerating.. Watched him in filter that is one of the funniest drama but that plot doesn't give you much space to concentrate on actors there are so many things to concentrate but this one is simple day to day life needs pure skills to pull of same routine in new ways everytime but not diverged from character setup.. tan jianci and wang churan acting, chemistry, old married couple dynamics made you crave more even after 36 episodes.. They did it perfectly.. Never disappointed from wang churan & tan jian ci's choice of stories. His funny face expression, body language, voice modulations.. Comedy is toughest genre to play.. Now tan jian ci become my romcom king in cdrama land. Li yifei is cool at work but silly domestically... Clumsy, his silly dance moves, way he follows food scent from his room every time qian fei cook, he is absolutely funny when he gets angry with qian fei... His character development is great from never knowing spelling of domestic work and shamelessly proud about it TO cook her dinner and washing dishes -- qian fei made him man from a spoiled lazy lad 👏👏👏 qian fei character development from the one throwing career for life partner to not compromising career even strives to stand equal besides li yifei... From the day 1 yifei influenced her to work towards her career growth.. Which she never did in wang ruhai accompany.. They totally deserves each other, they influenced each other to become their better self throughout the series...
Yes but they don't make you frustrated much about it.. Lead couple is like old married couple (platonic) throughout the series except last few episodes.. Maybe around 28 to 32 you might feel anxious when will the start dating.. That is bit a headache.. And through 34-36 you'll forgot the previous disappointment..

Few of my friends said something about character set up i thought Maybe many people have thought the same way. I wanted to clarify. Might sounded not in a polite way i really wanted to highlight the character set up was great to the point we can ignore all other outdated technical flaws. Anyway if you watched any dramas like this can you suggest some.

I ignored poor editing of AI 2nd male lead, male lead jianci character set up in this drama is unique not like any of the drama i have ever seen.. Outspoken, too chill, carefree upto certain level but serious about career, as 2nd gen rich guy he spend money for things he doesn't compromise even it affect his finance badly, he had past not the guy hung on a girl he saw/saved his life when he was 4yr or 18yrs, he is more open minded boyfriend that possessive one's who pout or argue when they saw their gf close with other man, he is mature enough to let her go even consider her situation and give her money to rent place. Not cold aloof indifferent serious and 10/10 guy like we have always seen. He has flaws, he is more human like than someone came from writers delusion..
Coming to female lead her outlook to life isn't having big dreams and ambitions just to have happy family and 9 to 6 job. More importantly she cooks tasty dishes. People might find portraying woman being good at cooking is misogyny. No cooking is basic life skill for any human, making it tasty is one of the greatest pleasure to please ourself. Still she is better than a delusional perfectly fit health female lead live on instant foods and take out foods all the time. Ok many people might find her backbone less some girl popped from 1980s. I find myself in her. Not everyone want greatest achievement. Some people want simple fulfilling life. We can never bash them for that. Maybe now she learned men are not as reliable as she imagined. Her character is growing. WHATEVER YOU PEOPLE SAY ABOUT IT, IT IS WORTH GIVING A TRY. seriously guys we have watched every cringe fest all kind of characters/situations born from writers delusion. THIS IS REAL. ML & FL IS MOST REAL. Upto 4th episode it's different from every male lead i have seen. So the only regret is i started watching while the show in ongoing waiting is hard🥲

I wanted to convey that we can ignore all 2nd ml edit technical flaws, color grading, cinematography just for the fl ml character portrayal. Every drama has it's own positive and negative points. The drama pleased you aesthetically might not had realistic character or situations. This has something realistic we should not spoil it and scare people away because of same aesthetics

I'm in episode 9. When will these 2 stop pretending? Can't these two seriously be themselves? How long? In teenage I can understand in late 20s? She's thinking she past the teenage crush okk she is trying her best to hide he is ML of her book. I understand her, leaving her alone. What's wrong with him? Isn't he most successful lawyer? Can't he be stop pretending everything other than his true self? Does a drama require coworkers to get shocked and artificially fawning over to become a good drama? The drama was the best for me, cuz never seen a female lead as proactive and doesn't hesitate to leave him when he gives mixed signals... She dares to love, support unconditionally and leave.. Of course very sweet happy ending too. I wish i find more dramas with fl like this.

He cried twice in this whole series, first when ling long only married him to get her family possession and ling long would never choose him. Then when SJZ think he got his father recognized him as his son. Still my ship failed no prbm🥲🤣... The actor did his job well.. Started watching for yang yang and alen fang, got new talented hot villain🙃🙃
Actually if you watched more you'll be feeling unfair.. She sacrificed everything, protecting him, world and all. All she got was perished primordial spirit across realms
