Another drama that completely ruins its own storyline because of the FL’s awful behavior.
SPOILER ALLERT !!!
The story was actually going pretty well, and the acting's are mediocre. There’s nothing particularly special about this kind of mainstream plot, but at least I expected a drama like this to be better than those cheap vertical/short dramas with the exact same kind of story.
Then we get to the middle of the drama, and the FL proves that she literally learns nothing from her mistakes. She gets fooled again by the woman she considers a trusted friend, and then gets herself involved with another disgusting man. After everything she went through because she trusted people too easily, you’d think she would learn her lesson. But nope. Instead, she keeps trusting other people while completely ignoring the person she supposedly trust and loves.
After everything ML does to protect her and show how much he loves her, and after FL herself admits that she has deep feelings for him, how is it so easy for her to stop trusting him and believe random people and cheap gossip instead?
What makes it even more ridiculous is that she gets deceived and manipulated multiple times into giving ML milk that she knows causes his allergies, yet she STILL trusts that ladyboy who is obsessed with her husband. At this point, I honestly don't know what to call it anymore. Being naive is one thing, but this is just unbelievably stupid.
FL claims she has deep feelings for ML, but then she so easily wants to separate from him. And during their argument, she goes off drinking and ends up in another man’s arms. You’re telling me she loves her husband so deeply, yet when they have problems, she can just get drunk with another man in the same room? That's not innocence anymore. That's just plain idiotic.
(I know this conflict was added to increase the screen time of the second male and increase the duration of the drama. But isn't there a more creative way to extend the duration? With the same plot, it feels like another mainstream cheap drama.)
She already got deceived by her ex-boyfriend before, yet she still chooses to trust another man she barely knows, who at that point is nothing more than her business partner. Seriously, how ridiculous can this character be? When she has problems with her husband, she would rather run into the arms of some random man she just met instead of even going to her own mother.
Yes, FL eventually ends up with ML, but honestly, that doesn't make the whole thing any better. The disgusting behavior between FL and that equally disgusting man who becomes obsessed with her simply because she happens to be the twin of his former lover completely drags this drama down.
At that point, it starts feeling just like those cheap dramas where the entire plot seems to exist because the writer had some questionable fantasy or wet dream they desperately wanted to put on screen.
Apparently, FL does the exact same disgusting thing again in Season 2. And honestly, what an irony. After everything that happened, she STILL doesn't learn anything.
So yeah, neither this drama nor its second season is worth watching, let alone rewatching. There are plenty of ways to create misunderstandings and relationship conflicts, but making your FL this unbelievably gullible and repeatedly throwing her into the arms of other men just makes the whole story frustrating and disgusting rather than dramatic.
