I watch YYM, Deng Lun, sad to see his career boom. He was great in Ashe Of Love. I watched AoL after Eternal Love, and both were great xianxia.

It broke 50 billion watch in 2018 as the most watch series of all time. It was a genre defining moment. I believe it really drove the xianxia crazed.

It almost 10 year since I watch it, so dont know if it stood the test of time. But it was beautiful and the story is a solid one.

At this point Dragon deity is more of a title then a person.

O yeah Xianxia nowadays... are just getting worst and worst. After Eternal Love (2017) with Yang Mi. they have churn out some decent xianxia but ALOT of them are mediocre and you really have to question yourself what the point.

Hey that good I grew up watching classic Wuxia, and stop watching Cdrama all together cause of life and what not. GJM stand out from the sea of Cdrama. his work is really unique ! the best way to describe it he take a darker/noir approach to story telling

But just now I read about it, and seem like an interesting twist on the tale.

Funny enough, I havent. I watch the older version of Painted Skins adaption and series. I wasnt watching much CDrama in the early 2020s
