Well I got my happy ending. It was messy but sometimes that’s how it goes. Logic and love do not always follow the same path. Not gave it his all but it was just not meant to be. The girlfriend knew she was just filling in. That’s a part of life too. Every one was not forgiven which I was happy to see. I liked the actors and the various settings. The music was nice too. Now it’s on to You’re My Sky, Not Me and The Tuxedo.
Right now I’m looking at this as a comedy. I really can’t take any of this too seriously. I have to admit I can actually handle the three replacement actors. They are not nearly as sleezy as the three actors they replaced. How many days is this funeral going to last. Every time I see Song Won’s picture I feel like throwing up. I’m glad they are giving more time to the wives but Hye’s flirting and fawning over Seo Ban is downright embarrassing. Of course Ami is still dumb as a rock and Gabin thinks she’s landed the golden goose. Really I just fast forward past the mistresses. Oh yes, the baby is so cute. I hope Seo Bao is really sincere because Lee Shi deserves a break. Hopefully she will listen to her daughter.
I broke down and watched episode 8. Actually this is the best you can hope for from China. This is a watered down version of Addicted which is why I was surprised they even included the rape scene in this version. What I did like was the ending. Yes they are physically apart but they declare their love for each other which gives some hope that they may come together in the future. There actually was a sequel to Addicted in which they meet in later years and rekindle their love. The trailer looked promising but I understand the sequel was never released. Also, in Addicted it ended with an intrusive female suggesting there was still a question about their sexuality. It seems like the Chinese can’t accept that a person is truly gay. It’s more like a bromance or a temporary condition. At least this series eliminates the female and just has the two talking lovingly to each other at the end. As I said earlier this is as good as it will get in a Chinese bl. If you know of one other than this one and Addicted please let me know.
Don’t you hate it when writers suddenly decide they want to get all high and mighty and go rogue on us. Just when we’ve settled in for a nice enemy to lovers romance someone decided they want to be Shakespeare and write a love tragedy instead of a love story. By now someone should have figured out that messy breakups and random heartache is not what a lot of us want in a bl. Personally, I want to feel all fuzzy wuzzy and happy at the end. I get enough sadness in real time. BLs are my form of escapism. Sorry the writers didn’t get my last memo. I’ve got my fingers crossed for My Ride , Not Me and Semantic Error.
I just can’t say enough about this bl. The way they look at each other. The way they just can’t seem to stay away from each other. This could be any couple falling in love for the first time. And the music is perfect.
Of the mistresses to was the one, if I had to, I liked her the most. It was incredible sad, I do believe they…
Sorry but I just never can warm up to Songwon. The only way I could do that would be if she had some sort of mental deficiency that reduced her to having the mind of an adolescent. But if she is the mature, intelligent , educated woman that she is portrayed as being than from the moment she agreed to have breakfast with a married man and go on secret dates makes her a willing participant in this game of deceit. She played on the vulnerability of a manchild who was needy and weak. Falling in love is no justification for infidelity . They were two consensual adults. I respect the love some have for Songwon but to me she was the worse. Ami is just naive and dumb as a rock. The singer was just took what came her way at the time. Don’t hate me. I’ve known some Songwon in my life and they tried to sell me the same bill of goods. Sorry but I wasn’t buying and had no problem letting them know I wasn’t in agreement with their decision.
The storyline is so awful I haven’t even paid any attention to the osts. The actors are doing the job they were paid to do. That’s life. Sometimes we have to deal with a crappy assignment.
The most entertaining part for me is when the brother came out the shower in nothing but a towel. And I do like the producer pursuing the writer. I am an advocate of moving on and getting your revenge by living your best life moving forward.
I tried but watching that poor woman consoling her weasel brained ex husband was more than I could take. I m laughing at him crying. And who wants to watch the ex mistress going into labor. Fast forward fast forward fast forward. So the mistresses come out winners. Gag me with a spoon.
Nope…can’t do it…just seeing Song Won in the credits in a support role was enough to make me puke. And personally I’m glad they replaced the actor who played her just as nauseating excuse of a man. I’ll just read your comments.
I'm kinda sad that Songwon died. Don't get me wrong she was the girlfriend that I hated the most (esp. in season…
Maybe I can try to watch. I really am glad Songwon died. Please don’t hate me. I just could not stand her poor woo is me attitude while she seduced a married man. Whenever they were on screen I fast forwarded.
I'm with you Texas Titan. There is more to a relationship than just the beginning and how a couple get together.…
I agree. That’s why I love the movie Love..Life on the Line…it took the couple from high school to college to living together , breaking up , coming back together and staying together until death. It’s been established through BLs that same sex relationships start at a young age. Some of us are ready to see them tackle the hard challenges of life they face in their adult lives.
