I know we are still grieving but if you need something bl to soothe your heart try Law of Attraction or Be My Favorite. Also, Dangerous Romance starts next week. And we will always have Moonlight Chicken , The Eclipse and Semantic Error as backup antidotes.

One parting note. I am actually smiling. If you are familiar with any similar Chinese productions you know just the sheer making of this series was a daring feat in itself and they did a damn good job
considering what they were up against. I go back to Uncontrolled Love, Killer and Healer , Addicted and Advanced Bravely. In the first two there was such an outrage over the ending they even made an alternative happy ending episode. In Addicted there was supposed to be a season two. There were clips of the second season shown but the entire series was never released. I can no longer even find those clips but like the second book of Stay With Me there was a time jump during which they were apart and then were supposed to be reunited and pick up their romance. As I mentioned before there were clips but the entire second season was never released. That is why I am personally not holding my breathe for season 2, especially if it is going to need Chinese approval. Of course the Chinese are masters at
innuendo and symbolism so do not expect the same type of explicit language and physical actions that we see in bls from Thailand and even Korea. My biggest hope at this point is that these fine young actors who starred in Stay With Me are not censored and are able to receive the proper recognition that they deserve. I look forward to seeing them again, hopefully together. Take care.

You are absolutely correct. If you go back and look at what happened to the main leads in Addicted they were interrupted by Chinese authorities and forced to separate when trying to appear together at an event in China. I understand they were banned from appearing together. Fortunately both have been able to continue their careers but separately.

Well, its over. What can I say? Apparently there is writers block when it comes to writing endings. I had high hopes since this was the same screenwriter as Advancing Bravely but she seems to be suffering from the same disease. I think it was all very predictable when the cousin resurfaced but I thought at least we would see Su Yu at his bedside and Wu Bi close to death but still alive. I assume showing them together at the end was too much to ask for. For me it ended at ep 22. This ending felt rushed and made less sense than the ending for Addicted. Nobody was at the hospital except Su Yu during the surgery. I guess we have to assume the cousin is holed up somewhere. Anyway It was a wonderful ride. I am
really not too interested in season 2. I envision a time jump and the majority of the episodes rehashing the accident and the years inbetween. I wont change my rating . I still think it is one of the best bl series in 2023. Xu Bin and Zhang Jiong were awesome. I will rewatch but only up to ep22. Until next time take care.

Beautifully put…when you have a well written script and phenomenal acting spoken words are not needed….a gesture, a look, even a simple sigh can convey so much more. That to me is the beauty of this series. It is pure art in my humble opinion and I love it.

I just rewatched ep 21 and 22. I am blown away at how
beautifully they were done. Each one
captured the essence of true love and the importance of family. Listening to the lyrics of the ost and watching the
interactions of Dodo, the boys and her mother reminded me of my two best friends in college. They were at our house so much my dad called them his daughters. Actually, for me the series could stop at the end of ep 22.
I want to have only happy memories while I wait on season 2.

That is exactly why I dont go on twitter. I hate to hear this. Krist is such a talented actor and is human like all of us. I will continue to support him. I pray he has a good support system and continues to stay strong. There is nothing I hate most than sanctimonious bigots.

That actually shows you were raised to stand up for what you believe. I am very strong in voicing my feelings and beliefs. Still, my three adult children have had no problem standing up to me.

Thank you for saying exactly what has been on my mind. As much as I like the cast I just find this storyline so offensive and actually repulsive. I have tried to rationalize the plot by saying it is just cultural differences but just recently a Chinese princess
happily gave up her title to marry a
commoner so I have a even harder time with this storyline. The cast, the visuals, the music are all so good but the storyline and direction is lacking. Is it a comedy or a drama?

I am actually enjoying this. Generally ghost themes are not my thing but I am all in until the end. Love the mls. They are fun to watch.

A really beautiful well written bl with an awesome cast and just the right amount of angst. A special thank you for making all eight episodes available . I binge watched it in one day.

Thank you. I had really stopped watching kdramas because to me they had become so toxic. Adultery, deception, verbal
abuse, physical abuse, overbearing
male characters,
unscrupulous friends, jealous and thirsty females, spiteful
mothers and hateful fathers just became too much for me . This was
actual fun to watch and entertaining.

I loved this series. For me it was a breathe of fresh air. There will be obstacles in life and challenges but there can also be love, forgiveness, reconciliation, mutual respect , true friendship, and redemption. I was so glad to see all three friends happy at the end. Yes, the one husband was lazy and ditzy but it was great seeing how his daughter and wife kept him in line. You dont have to like it or even understand it but there is genuine love between them. Even the scene with the sister and her son. When her son
identified the older woman as his grandmother she said nothing to deny it. Being in a blended family myself I can appreciate this scene. For my sake the adults around me put aside any dislikes or personal differences for my happiness. So for me this hit all the right buttons and will go on my rewatch list.

I try not to make assumptions about people because I dont know their circumstances. Right now my main priority has been to stay cool and not have a heatstroke.The temperatures where I live have been in the hundreds. Anyway I do mean it when I say take care. You havenot done anything to me for me to feel any other way.
