The OP wrote how "she took away all the colors from his life" and I reacted how she did nothing like that, he did it to himself. His brain drained all those colors to help him stop being idiot with a grudge. Only then he can heal. Has nothing to do with her.

I NEVER said he dislikes her for her looks, you just put words in my mouth. I said he holds a grudge and that is a reason he can't see the truth - she is the one!
I already wrote in another post that Su Miao's death was cruel, FL wasn't at her best, but the girls didn't have any other option, (and I'm not saying this as excuse), because he was acting as an obsessive maniac toward FL in all her transformations: chasing SM, chasing FJ, going to zoo for alpaca and so on. They thought he is this jerk with no emotions and SM's death won't affect him, they were wrong and she admitted it was wrong.
But, the whole point is: non of this would happen if he didn't act like obsessive maniac. Maybe some girls think his behavior is romantic, but if he was this fat and ugly guy, not character played by ge ge, all those girls would call police on him. In last episode she says "no", he ignores (as always), he follows her to the subway and than jumps in despair all over her. He just doesn't know how to take "NO"... not romantic and not her fault. And, again, I can understand why he did it the same way I can understand why FL brutally killed off SM.

I don't hate on him, I hate on "a character played by ge ge can't be wrong, poor him, it's all FL's fault" narrative spread over and over, because he is so wrong in many aspects. I actually like his character because he is human being, far from perfect and he isn't knight in shining armor. So, there is no need to wash out his faults so we can pretend he is - he isn't and that is so refreshing!

P.S. I just came from Strange Tales of Tang Dynasty, FL is support role, has very little screen time and is one of the best written female leads. She is great. But, if you go through the page, you will see that lots of comments are bashing her. Women hating on women, but overlooking or defending hard borderline man's behavior - It really bugs me, I must say.

I think it is you that missed my point: don't blame it all and only on FEMALE lead when they are both in wrong in certain situations! They both have to grow, they are not perfect but somehow on this page it is always and only her fault, while no matter how ge ge is red flag, many tend to pretend he isn't. Now, he plans to use her for his "healing" without a shred of a doubt if it is right thing to do.

This comment section is full of women who keep blaming ONLY FL for everything, when it is clear that ML was rude to FL, he still is, he has his "reasons". But, he is super kind and super in love with all her other personalities, and she has to sit there and listen to all those confessions that are not meant for her, while he treats her coldly. She must be heartbroken, too. But, no1 is feeling sorry for her, only for him.
She has her insecurities about looks and at the end of this drama she will get the guy who falls for her soul, not her visuals. He is cold nerd (that family dinner suggest his father is cold and unapproachable) and very resentful person, who holds a grudge against FL way too long, so that is why he is incapable to see who he really loves, thus he must go through heartbreaks until he sees the truth. At the end of this drama, he will get this kind soul who is ready to go really far to help others, even at her own expense.

All those thing have to happen so we could have a drama.

So, lets be fair here and not blame only female.

And nothing of that wouldn't happen if he wasn't obsessively pursuing Su Miao and Fang Jin, and took NO as an answer, because he was given "no" from them on several occasions. If he respected that "no" in the first place, he wouldn't find himself in those situation and, more important, he wouldn't put SCC in such terrible spot over and over again. But, hey, lets blame the woman because ge ge can't be wrong, poor him.

She literary didn't do anything to him, he did it to himself. His subconscious is telling him, his eyes are telling him, yet he just doesn't want to see that the real deal is next to him. Most of people are like that, incapable to se through misconceptions and lies they created on they own. Luckily, there is a hi tech bracelet to help him as a blessing in disguise.

End of episode 16: I guess the man he saw in color is SCC as Quan Sheng Tang, going to Lin Yuan's meeting, pretending to be her suitor... And, there you go, he will stick to QST, another transformation, instead SCC in her original appearance. At this point, I'm not sure should I pity him or laugh at him.

Maybe not, maybe he will be very happy to find out he isn't "jerk" and "scum", and it was one person all way long? We will see, lol.

Tbh, all I see is SCC going around and helping people, while he goes after all her transformation, giving both hard time: she has to find a way to pull away and go back to her life, he gets confused and hurt.

So true. People want it all, fast and now.
What I don't understand is, when we have 1000 similar dramas with same old tropes, and then we have this one that is different, why people want it to be like those 1000?

I have to admit, I binge watched this drama, I couldn't stop myself until Face-flower case: that one really killed this show for me and I just can't push myself into finishing it. It was so dull, so boring, so annoying with all that crown-prince-is-the-best propaganda.

Sometimes I have a feeling we are watching two different dramas. For me, (except in those first episodes), she is the most likeable character among them all. She is smart, kind and nice. She is always there to help and she literary asks for nothing in return.

She isn't causing anything, he is the one running after her in all her forms because he is incapable to love her in the original one due the strong grudge he has. He wrongly accused her for being bully, treated her like crap, yet his love for her is strong, she is the perfect one for him and that bangle is helping him to find it out. All this mess is helping him.

TQ is obviously not yet ready to see SCC as for what she really is to him.
