I am just happy for the FL cuz she got the recognition she deserves and I hope another big S++ drama like Yanxi palace comes her way after this. Both leads have a lot of talent !

I bet the fans of another famous drama, which failed to meet any expectations are making ruckus on chinese social media and I don't think rose will catch up with either TD or the JOL2 cuz acting, storyline, chemistry and execution in both series is pretty solid. Liu Yifei is Disney paper tigress and lacks the potential to compete with these two gems.
Ai Mi is too young, she is lack of charisma to play character with deep layer of emotion. She need more years…
Sounds fair enough, todays episodes were pretty good and at this point leads should get a room and get on with it. Their continuous push and pull are becoming bit to much for people behind the screens to bear ! I will give the credit where its due, ML tried to do it in the cave.....man got full naked right in front of her with any shame in order to entice her !

I was comparing WJY with Crystal Liu but yep, NiNi acting is phenomenal and I know beauty is subjective, but she is insanely beautiful or in chinese terms "Reincarnation of Diaochan" !
Ai Mi is too young, she is lack of charisma to play character with deep layer of emotion. She need more years…
I am not her crazy fan but she is a respectable actress and if I am being really honest, I believe WJY acting is better than her and it still blows my mind. Why she is not famous? of the old actress I personally like Ni Ni a lot and Zhong Dong Yu a lot, I know I am kinda bias towards Ni Ni cuz my first chinese drama was "The Rise of Phoenixes" and to me that drama was like 9/10....albiet the bad ending but still pretty good.

Okay but have you checked out Crystal Liu new drama Rose? I want to watch it but its Hong Konge version has messed up siblings relationship, I don't usually watch stuff like this but its Crystal Liu in the lead, so I am 50/50 about it. is it worth the watch?

Okay but look at her fan and look at what ML is using here, her fan will have iron stripes going through it. While the remaining thing will be made of paper to keep the whole apparatus together. You are talking about this thing right here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mwv_t_PSR9w in almost all versions the metallic rods are visible, contraption in ML hand happens to look like made entirely of paper and I am not expert in chinese martial arts but ML seems to be using either Hung Gar or Bajiquan. That being said I would really love to face some chinese fan wielding opponent and I see, what can he do against Talwar and point of spear in his face.

It had good potential and story looked kinda unique from the synopsis but the execution left a lot to be desired and its not even actors fault. The director and editors are real criminals here !
I like her with Xiao He to be honest for now 🤠but, when I saw at Dramawiki that Su would be his wife, then…
How is it? I am smelling heartbreak and gruelling story from the "Synopsis" and its not the type of dramas, I usually watch but its crystal Liu drama and I am 50/50 about it.

People have right to express their opinion but unfortunately, some tend to take it too far and the defenders of this drama belong to this category. There is no need to send violent death threats to people over the argument on the internet and its a boring drama, I have to drop it in first 4 episodes due to lack of engaging storyline.
Actually fans were weapons in Japan and China. I read a good article about it but not in English. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Japanese_war_fan…
Fair point but still by no specific timeline, he didn't meant late 1950's and you can ask any native chinese here. Fans like these were only invented in 1970's after the industrial revolution and great leap forward. Lets just end it !

First the drama is set in "Song Dynasty" and a lot of people have pointed it out due to design of woman clothes, beads on woman face, customs and rites and other factors. Secondly Song dynasty ended in the 1279 and they were the ones, that introduced the concept of handheld fans to the Japans and the war fans you guys are citing were introduced in the endo period, at-least 300+ years after the end of song dynasty.....so there is no correlation between the timeframes. You citied a Titanium fan....seriously ! You do realise titanium was discovered at the end of 18th century and wasn't come in military use till 1950's. It was IMPOSSIBLE for any civilization to mine and mould it without modern science and equipment like computers. If you are going to that level, you might have said ML call "Airstrikes" with his eyes, deploy tanks and fire nukes from his eyes with his moves cuz even that is feasible as compared to the situation you are mentioning and all these weapons predate use of titanium. Its the strongest metal in the world used to make Space-craft, nuclear reactor/bombs and most commonly used in fighter jets. Even Atomic bombs were in serial production before Titanium was in commonly used, I was fighting with you for this long and you had this in mind. Do you know what? I have enough of it, you are right ML has freaking "Dark Saber/Light Saber" in his hand and it can cut through anything. I was the dumb and stupid for considering ancient timeline, I am sorry lets end this !

I have no time to argue harmonics with you now but sound depends upon the shape and ML folded it in the fight scenes, its not a iron metallic fan and even the color is wrong ! You can argue its a bronze/copper fan due to the color but even that won't fold that well due to thick metallic stripes and bronze won't survive one strike from iron blade edge.

I am stuck at chapter 124 and there is no eng translation after that !

First there is no historical record or surviving example to even say, Chinese signaling war fans even existed in the first place and the original Japanese war fans had metallic ribs or stripes in them, covered and joined by the paper to allow the folding and hold the entire thing together. Fan in ML hand has no metallic stripes or ribs and have a straight uniform sheet of one material....just like a freaking paper fan.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Japanese_war_fan#/media/File:Gunsen_fan.JPG
If you think its a uniform single sheet of metal without paper, then tell me how it will fold back together. You think metal/steel bends like this without any mechanism!
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Japanese_war_fan#/media/File:Gunsen_Asian_Art_Museum_SF.JPG
Read this article and you will understand (what I mean by absence of metallic ribs/stripes.

Now you are making me think you are blind cuz there is very clear difference between the color of copper, brass, bronze and freaking steal.
