The only way this whole thing will work is if its made entirely of beskar and at this point. While avg sword use to weight around 1.5-2kg and both swords and spear have not only reach and sharpness advantages over the fan, but they can also concentrate the whole force at the point or slash with their sharp edge. Not to mention due to complex opening and closing mechanism, the fan already has point of weakness, which good old pointed stick (spear) will easily exploit, for context spear can penetrate inches of full plate armour.
