Lol, I am sure you will, but nobody gives a flying "F" about vocal minority and every bad negative in world has some delusional fans that support it no matter what, like Satan, Hitler and even Imperial Japanese army has thousands of hardcore fans. So, we can agree on this one !
Although "naysayers" are blaming "Freedom of expression" used by other people to voice their opinion regarding few minutes of ep 12 but let's be real here, first signs of trouble appeared in ep6 and by ep 8 things were looking bad. The buildup, chemistry and sexual tension between the leads can sustain a drama for its first half but ultimately, it's the story that keeps the audience engaged in the latter half and pique their interest before finale. Nobody would have any complains if they removed the bloat from ep 5 onwards and end this drama in 8-10 episodes without the "Argoan storyline" and then made part 2, which properly covered that phase and gave us satisfactory ending. I think its one of those dramas, which nobody will remember in the future cuz it lacks the rewatchable potential like "My Mister, My liberation notes and Its Okay to be not Okay".

I wish I had time to enjoy all the currently airing shows, I had a lot of free time in 2024 but they didn't release anything good. Now I am busy with forest fire raging around me and they decided to drop Bai Lu, Yang Zi and Tian Xi Wei dramas.

You don't get the point do you? Netflix has access to the original script of the show and they use it in their translations. Whenever they come across problem like current issue, they use the script and contact the author before making corrections. The production house gets the share of the profits from international audience, hence everything goes from them before release and they reserve the right to protect the authenticity of their content. Which means Netflix can't make any major changes in the shows before release. So don't give me this bias, MBC greenlight this before release. Furthermore, Netflix has thousand of shows available on their site and in 2024 only Korean shows have problems like this. Even Chinese propaganda dramas are clear as day and nobody has problem with them. Just like I have mentioned in my earlier comment, Yes Netflix fuxked up but they aren't the one who will smear and their name will be smeared. They have years of credibility and thousands of shows from every corner of the world to prove their credibility, it's K-drama in question and the production house and artist in questions that will suffer. It's small number of people either, you have billions of emotionally charged people there. One picture of Netflix subs and original Korean translation from MBC would have made the whole situation clear.

How is that sus? Indonesia is the largest Muslim country (277.5 million) in the world by population size right now. Furthermore, of all the Muslim countries Indonesia is the one which has close links with Asian countries and consumes the most Korean/K-pop and Chinese content (of all Muslim countries). The Chinese and Korean companies specially sub/dub their content in Indonesian language and release it there....ofcourse the first one to notice and retaliate would be them. South-Asian (Pakistani) and Turkish Tv-serials and music are big thing in Middle East and Eastern Europe and that's what majority of the middle east and other Muslim countries consume along with their native content. Majority of people don't care about K-pop/C-dramas and will watch generic western stuff like spiderman over it. Those native shows along with South Asian, Turkish and all western stuff is available on Netflix and that's what majority of people there consume. Recently though K-dramas were appearing in trending and new arrival section (way to much) and hence people watched it and the backlash.
IMDB don't fully detect bot accounts especially if they are created with emails, yes real people also rated it…
I have checked out IDMB and I know for a fact short clip of the ep12 is doing rounds in WhatsApp group. Hence the hate we see on ep 12 and like I said, actions have consequences and it's time to live with it. I don't think Producers are not aware of the current issue cuz I am 99% sure people will be going after ML actor social media and make some noise there. He can also post one story to reverse the backlash !

but King the land issued two apologies and course corrected, when their crimes weren't even that serious "nobody likes princes in host countries" but this is completely different beast. Everybody knows there is ongoing Genocide, UN is involved, countries are firing ballistic missiles at each other and people are pissed about it. I just don't get it who gave this bright idea to writers to use ongoing conflict as plot device, nothing good would have come out of it. Let's assume they original Korean version....people would be still pissed at "use of genocide as plot device and the result would still be same. Netflix releases 1000's of shows from different countries in Muslim countries and people have used the site for years with thousands watched on daily basis, yet only one's from Korea has problems. Furthermore, IDMB also factors in credibility of users before making final calculations. Like it or hate it, they are trying to stop bots and suppressing genuine backlash/opinions/motions/feelings of people to appease certain fanbase is not in their agenda's. They care about the actual definition of "bots" and not the one invented by naysayers. Where everything and anything said against their favourite is considered bot behaviour. I know this for a fact cuz I have been called Dilruba, Bai Lu and other actress bot...multiple times here. Some fanbases even went far and told me ZLY is specifically paying me 1000's of dollars to defame certain actress and I have also published news articles in Japanese media defaming their idol. They invented such a "Tall tales" that even I was afraid of my own supposed power !
