Apart from JOY-2 and Love of Nivarna none were worth watching and all the big budget historical dramas were female oriented. Please don't get me wrong I am not against woman empowerment, but this storyline is overused, and they are rehashing the shit and using it again and again. You do realize all these "Male oriented dramas" you have mentioned have zero kisses and bad-no romance, it's kinda wired to recommend these dramas to man. Majority of them are over glorified thirst traps, designed to appease female audience. Take Flower boys (Dashing Youth) and ZLH dramas this year for instance, the comment section was wild and majority female audience was saying some insane shit.
Well, it looks like C-drams have received "storytelling and plot quality upgrades" recently. I hope they keep this up and give us other gems like this in future.
