Lol, we came to same conclusion, and I have been doing this specifically for Tencent shows form the start of 2024. Tencent absence of support for Tv's and iQIYI flash banging with freaking "HDR Stun grenades"" are a big problem.

FL on the other hand came back with "TRUCK LOAD" of baggage from previous relationship and treats her parents like shit. SML bro FL is not a lab rat, this is like 3rd time you have used her life/wellbeing as a test subject to lure ML into lowering his guard. I don't think you are not intelligent enough to realise that, FL ain't a caged cannery and neither is ML stupid. So, it's highly unlikely they will fall for your tricks, and you shouldn't be complicating things by catching feelings at this point.
Talking about feelings, his behavioural traits are quiet contradictory to each other, you like her and yet you have willingly used her as a bait multiple times and she has gotten hurt by it almost every time.
As for the plot I think the final villain is Emperor!

No but that shit is not a Romcom by any stretch of imagination, it's a gut wrenching melodrama with slice life elements. FL is a very grey character and she hid something extremely important from ML and her family!

Well in QoT leads chemistry was electrifying and it kinda delivered on what drama promised, to be a Romcom. I have no problem with melodrama's but we were promised light hearted Romcom here and what we got is typical "gut wrenching" slice of life melodrama. That's why people are pissed !

We had some good K-dramas this year like those "Time travel to the past and punish bad people" ones were pretty good, lovely runner was top notch, Twinkling watermelon was good and even Queen the Tears, most overhyped show of 2024 was better than this.
The point I am trying to make here is, it ain't one of them !

Lol, you mean SML who is actively using her life as a bait to lure ML out and make mistake. She ain't dumb brother and I am glad she is one of the smarter FL's out there, who can see the whole picture.

I will wait week to decide whether to continue it or drop it cuz during this whole debacle, although FL was not at fault, but ML was wronged by her. It won't matter in normal circumstances, but leads are supposed to start their romantic journey here and if one party doesn't acknowledge their mistakes and makes conscious attempt to mend ties. Then that relationship is doomed to fail, what I mean is we need to see FL wanting, trying and actively doing something to mend her relationship with ML and get romantically involved.
I am saying this cuz I have lingering suspicion, whole thing will be swept under the rug and it would be ML leading the courting. Which after all this won't make any sense and piss off alot of people in comment section.

I know it would be tall order to make it believable in last 6 episodes, when they didn't show much or any hesitance on FL part regarding her feelings for ML and other stuff like that. So, I believe 1-year timelapse will be enough for FL to find new job and bet back on her feet.
Slow burn romance can follow after that with multiple scenes exploring FL past feelings for ML and how she was chasing to find the feeling of solace and security ML provided to her during childhood, trying to find him in her old boyfriends like her ex and lash out on them, when they didn't full fill the gap left by him/felt exactly like him. This plotline can justify lot of things, and it will be realistic considering their past but I highly doubt...we will get it !

I was also watching it from the beginning due to "Jung So-min" but I will put episode 9 & 10 on hold, till this whole debacle is over and they start the healing journey. Lol now I don't even care about romance between the leads at all and I hope she makes it up to her family and deal with the aftermath of her action.
Hiding small matter is okay but something as big as cancer, when there is a high chance, your loved ones will only get to see your dead body is very harsh.

I duno Ex seemed like "Okay" dude to me and all the fault lies squarely on FL for not contacting her family and friends, with that being said ML should leave her alone and run away with tail between his legs. She is definitely not over her ex, didn't consider him important enough to share such an important information about her life (there was a high chance she would return in body bag) and even if she decides to get with him.
It won't be cuz of love or anything like that, more like using him to move on. They should show us time-lapse of 6-8 months with ML busy with his life and FL slowly making moves to get together with him. They both need time to heal, process and un-wind this trauma and during this time. It would give FL ample time to think about her actions and make it up with her family members.

Ever Green nearly virgin ML - Check
Ex's coming back and being used as jealousy plots - Check
FL acting hella stupid and siding with ex's who treated them like shit - Check
ML love childhood best friend and out of nowhere FL also like him - Check
Stage 4 cancer and dying trope - Check

The only redeeming qualities about it are leads chemistry and Jung So-min, so that's why it has 8.6 rating here. If it was a C-drama it would prolly be rotting in 7-6.5 rating but its k-drama so their cliches are acceptable.
