4 ep in & while I like it, I'm also not sure if I'd be able to continue coz 6's character here disgust me af, the worst kind of being (I refused to call him human coz he doesn't deserve it), please tell me he gets to be punished at the end!!

You know bad mother is exist in this world too, right? Mother figure doesn't necessarily act as mother, she has no obligation like a real mother has. Just because ppl find the FL can be taken as his mother figure doesn't necessarily it means they seen the FL as his ideal mother, duh. A mother figure is an adult figure whom he respect instead since his mother no longer present in his life anymore. Esp since they met when he was a child & just recently lost his mother.

You shdn't forget that he's literally a child that recently lost his mother, most child will find the nearest mature FL to be his replacement mother figure, she doesn't need to work as her mother, to be his role model or someone whom he respect is enough, just like a lil' chick who lost his mother hen can follow literally anykind animal as its mother

The issue I see many ppl getting has nothing to do with the age gap itself, at least for me since ik age gap is something that quite common happens in xinxia, but more on the story itself, coz the FL here I find works more like a mother figure as very well mentor for the ML himself since he was a kid. They met when he's literally a child who recently lost his mother and family and this mature FL took him in & gives him a shelter to live. Maybe it'd be better if they didn't show this part esp right in our face like that, but unfortunately they did.
2 ep in & this is a hard pass for me, no chemistry between the leads & the leads pairing is like a mother figure & her son, the story itself I find to be bland & yawny, not interesting & Gong Jun's acting is just bad/ bland to me
Gotta say, I feel like the show lost its charm for a bit since ep 12, it's either filled w/ fillers or obsessive taxi driver madness that doesn't even make sense, the time slip/ time travel writing also lacking & quite dissapointing, esp for SOOD watchers. Like, I love this drama but ngl the quality gradually decline in these last few ep.
I adore the family part on Go Ahead (best part of the show) but dislike the romance part the most as I find their relationship unnecessary (& unhealthy) coz the ML needs therapy more than the force romance they choose to gave him, so hopefully the adaptation put more attention to that & develop it better here
Was going to watch this one for Alen Fang but seeing it's a SE it's better not to watch.
Nooo..., please give it a chance! the ending is beautiful to me, a very memorable drama & one of the best performance from Alen Fang ❤️ (I'm done binging most of his works & this is my fav series of him along w/ The Longest Promise where he played as 2nd ML)
Glad that I waited for quite a bit before watching, I'm having a blast binging all their 10 ep yesterday 🥰 They remind me of Someday or One Day which I truly adore & loved, happy to find another diamond ❤️
2 ep in & in love with it, quite original premise w/ interesting grey characters as leads, it's intriguing & different than most drama. Looking forward to see FL & ML redemption arc and overcome their tragic past. Idc if the FL is a scammer, the ML is not a good father either, imo it's even make the drama more interesting & unpredictable to see how they develop everything later.
