I hv an opposite opinion, I had problems with the age gap on Goblin hence I dropped them by ep 6 but I don't find the age gap here, at all & enjoy MRIAG to the fullest.
Reason why: on Goblin I feel a massive age gap on the MC like an uncle with his niece because they have a big age gap in emotional maturity, Eun Tak's written just like any other ordinary bubbly highschooler, while here I don't find it so as Dam is one mature college girl & even so, she's more mature than most girls on her age, she's independent, know how to set boundaries, know how to respect herself, know her priorities & even give guidance & protection to our Fox, to her friends, etc. Well I guess, that's why there's always different drama for different people, to each of their own.

True, maturity =/= age, as time passes you'll learn more things but also sometimes reality can hit you hard how living w/ your ideal mind isn't as easy as what you had thought. People also tends to grow bitter by times, esp when they hv no one to rely or to share their burden.
However, I also don't see it as them being immature either, just like Woo Yeo, I see him as a person who have a lot of things to consider given his experience in life thus choose to lived in a shell to protect his ownself.

People are just fed up by his self entitled act, he acted as if he owns Dam, saying I'll let you go only if your bf is far beyond my league, etc.. like Dude, she has rejected you for a countless time, told you to back off but you act like you heard none, she had the rights to reject you even if she is single, the audacity of him to think that everything shd goes according by his will is nervewrecking.

Yes! Let's be real, if I encounter a man like Sun Woo who doesn't know how to give someone a personal space & won't leave me alone & keep intervent my private matters no matter how many times I've said NO to him, I'd find him creepy. Agree, he's been given a free pass just because his cute face, but here to me it doesn't add any value to his character, he's really getting on my nerves these days.

True, it's rather absurd to complains about the age gap here.
The actor's real age are only 2 years apart & Dam as a character is a mature person, she used to lived without/ far from her parents thus taught how to become independent & lived by her own feet, even Dam seem to be the one who has the upper hand & teach Woo Yeo how to become a proper human.

& yeah idk why ppl complains about the main couple's age gap but find it ok for the second couple when they have the same age gap, seem double std for me.
Like, do they expect Woo Yeo to act silly like a teenage boy? It'd become a major turn off for me instead, lol.
I love both main & second couple, I don't need to pick one as I enjoy both 😘
