I know it's a drama based on a true story !! But let's imagine it was not like that. The king became…
I disagree @curlyglasses @seoparkang @inspirit91 it's unfair to judge the king's behaviour at this point when he's clearly already not in his right mind, as ofc the king is pure madness rightnow & there's no way back for him.
But those ppl around him is no better, yeok & chae kyung included, they've made him that way at some point. You need to see from Yeong pov, not from our pov as a viewers who knows everything. We may see chae kyung did care for Yeong, but to Yeong knowledge, chae kyung never trusted him & never seen him as family, all the sweet things CK said to Yeong is all lies to him as CK trusted Yeok more (the person whom he knows lied to her constantly) to give him the letter, moreover CK father did the samething to him, both ppl whom he trusted the most were betrayed him. Both Yeok & CK should've support him as a king & show their love, instead just talking on his back & plans for treason but later blame him from turning into madness.
I won't justify his wrongdoings, but his wrongdoings were there for a reason. If Yeok & Chae kyung is a victim, Yeong is a victim as well. And I blame Yeong/Yeok's dad & Yeok's mom for all the mess they've created rightnow.
Because the younger Yeong didn't give any sign of this behaviour to me, it's only after his father treat him differently & after he heard all the twisted words given by the snakes around him. Imo if CK stayed by his side (at that point when he tried to be a sage king), I believe he'd be a better person/king.
Yeok imo wouldn't be any different if he's in the same position as Yeong & were treated like Yeong's being treated, as imo he is as he is rightnow because he received much love from his father, mother, friends & chae kyung, while Yeong has none

Jung Hwan: Hye Young, what is it?
HY voiceover: Byun Han Soo is not my father.
JH: The caring way that ajusshi had treated me, I know that he meant that sincerely.
Jung Hwan Mother: What are you doing?
Jung Hwan Father: I think it’s…it’s…it’s…given out.
Jung Hwan Mother: I supposed to play hard to get. Was I being too nice to him?
YJ (screams)
JY: What is it?
RY: He’s my boyfriend.
MY: He’s not answering.
JH: There is no reason for me to go back to that house.
MY: I won’t get jealous again. It’s not as if I’ve asked Actor Ahn to like me.
JH: I’m sorry.
JH: Just live like this. The children didn’t do anything wrong after all. This is the punishment that I’m giving to you, ajusshi.

Hye Young is greatly shocked that her father who has lived with the identify of ‘Byun Han Soo’ is actually ‘Lee Yoon Seok’.
Joong Hee who is unable to tell the truth of the father situation to Mi Young feels frustrated, but he does not want the rest of the family to be hurt by knowing the truth, so he quietly leaves Father’s Store. (Father’s Restaurant is the name of the snack food store that Papa Byun and Mama Byun run.)
I don't like when trailers and poster doesn't reflect the reality of the plot. I really hope it was…
Agree on somepoint, I do think they need to decide which genre they should be at it, is it dark & melo with a suspense, or is it a lighthearted romcom, because all of them in the mix would be too confusing & came as inconsistent for some ppl. If they want to have them all it shd be at minimal. Q7D is one drama that across my mind from nailing their genre having mix a bit all of it, when they're lightheartedly sweet they're cute, but when it's dark its suspense goes all the way up & makes my heart racing so fast. It's just rare to find. Am still enjoying this drama though, would need to see more episodes to decide if it would hooked me or not

Lol, chill @Teleri no need to be so worked up. Just because you don't see it that way doesn't mean it's all nonsense. Like I said earlier, it was from my pov, my opinion. If you find it great then it's good for you & I respect that. But everyone is entitled for their opinion. No need to force your mind into others. Just like you won't accept mine, I won't accept yours either, just agree to disagree with.
Regarding his voice, so you're saying it's his natural voice? That's odd to me because I've seen him in weightlifting & CITT but he doesn't sound like that to me.
I can't get his feelings here in BOTWG because he's faking his voice with that same tone all the time, so his scenes came out as flat to me. I believe it's not only me who feel that way cause I've seen numerous ppl feel the same way like I did here & there. You may said I'm the minority, well maybe I am & I'm okay with that, just don't force me to believe what you're believe in coz it won't work & only going nowhere as I don't need ppl to tell me what I shd feel or not to feel.
Is the drama worth watching? Considering watching this but right now the only reason I want to pick it up is my…
I don't think it is, the story are all over the place. However, other side characters (including Gong myung) I did find more interesting than the main one, so you may try to watch & decide by yourself if you like it or not or is it worth the watch

Ikr, he is fine on weightlifting but seriously his voice here is just irritating, it's like he is trying too much to be like God but instead getting Godly vibes, his lines feels flat, fake & boring as a result :(
Tbh this drama for me is a perfect combination of bad casting, bad writing, bad directing & bad jokes. The concept is great but the execution is such a big let down.
Sigh, how I wish Hoo Ye is the main character, he is the only reason I keep watching this as he is the most intriguing/interesting character, the main lead is just so boring, I couldn't care less.
Can we have another drama with Hoo Ye as the lead, please?
Btw, Ha baek's voice is really bothering me as he used his flat tone like all the time. Seriously, is he reading a script or what? sometimes it makes me wonder if NJH is a tone deaf, or to be a God he need to be a tone deaf? Lol
I've been hearing a lot of mixed opinion on this show, but is it still relatively enjoyable? I'm wondering…
Hmm.. If you had nothing to watch then you may watch this, I have no expectation for this drama & enjoy watching it but tbh there's nothing special about it, you may skip watching this & you won't lose any. They only throw a bunch of cliche things & I feel like they wasted Joo Won's & OYS talent in this. It isn't a bad drama though, you may watch & end up liking it, only the plot is nothing special, imo.
Lol, you took the words out of my mouth. Second that, though I'd prefer the young Jung won to play the adult role too, but am okay with LYH since I've seen worse than her *cough cough exactly the one you've mention above X'D
This is 10/10 from me because of how fresh & entertaining this drama is, the writer think out of the box & it's unpredictable from beginning till end. The story may seems light but there's a deep meaning behind its story. This probably also the most entertaining drama I've ever watched. It never fails to crack me up, so hilarious from start to finish & made my day everytime I watched it. Ddabong!
I'm confused.... If Ra Young is jus 26 then how old is Mi Young? Isn't she the youngest??? How old is…
Jung hee is the eldest, followed by Jin yeong, Hye yeong, Mi yeong & then Ra yeong as the youngest. To my understanding Jung hee is 35 (born in 82), Jin yeong 34 (born in 83)..I'm not sure on HY & MY exact age but if am not mistaken MY is already in her thirties.
