I am going to divide my review in positive (+) and negative (-) points:

+ One thing that immediately caught my eye are the well-chosen backdrops. They made the whole setup feel more real.

+ The choice of the main cast was really good - almost all actors are eye-candy.

+ The story progresses really well as it takes the time to dive into each family members past, interests and problems. It was also nice to see how the characters grew attached to each other.

+ Original Plot: ‚Girl is in debt’ is nothing new but with additional plot points such as: a 20-year-old woman becomes the „mother“ to 6 boys ranging in ages child to adult and has mother-goals to fulfill makes this whole setup unique.
+  Even when facing new challenges the main plot never loses sight of the original premise.

- Unfortunately the acting was a bit stiff from time to time - especially from Maki I’d have loved to see a better performance.

- The middle part of this drama was a bit repetitive because of it’s repeated pattern.
- As the drama goes on it becomes more and more unrealistic. I understand that the writers wanted to underline the newly formed bonds between the characters but did the castle really need to become a transformer for that?

+/- Plot points were a little bit childish sometimes but the overall message was clear and beautiful.

This drama wasn't perfect - but I still might still rewatch it since I kind of love the whole setup and the weird characters.
I would recommend this drama to people that like: Ikemen, family drama and comedy.

I am not trying to be too harsh but...

Onzoshi Boys is a over-the-top dating reality show filled with lots of overreaction. Looking at the big picture the story is absurd and gives the feeling of a teenagers FanFiction.

While I don’t think there was a big age gap between the couples - the fact that high school girls participated in this marriage program felt weird. Especially when the fl acts like a quirky child. Considering that the girls choose to participate because of…. well, money, duh, seems reasonable at least. Ahem.

One of the biggest flaws is the logic behind the marriage program itself. 4 Boys decide to do this whole setup just to boost their popularity and they couldn’t consider at the beginning that those girls would develop feelings for them? Also how convenient is it to have 3 girls but 4 boys just so you can add a childhood-friend at the end + this makes it easier to form a love-triangle?
The show itself was quite predictable even when it tried to take a turn. The issues it presented weren’t that heavy but I mean I never was a rich man who tried to become a mangaka - so what do I know?

The acting often wavered between good, okay and totally over the top. However, I do think the actors did a good job when they were serious and the cast was well chosen.

I also really liked the friendship that formed between the girls and their development. The chemistry between the couples wavered from good to okay however I never felt they really went to the stage in which they can wholeheartedly say „Let’s be together forever!“ - that was a bit much but the whole plot is excessive here and there, so it can be overlooked.
Plus, the music was okay - it fit the shows style really well.

The biggest strength of this drama was definitely the fact that each episode only lasted for 15 min so I never had the time to actually bother over logic or quality. So if you can overlook the absurdity of plot points, the exaggerated acting, a boring ending, and just want to enjoy a short love-story - this might be exactly for you.
