I don't know. It is creepy, but in China the age of "consent" is 14. It is ridiculous pedophilia, so they may think that is "okay".😬 Girls sometimes got married at that age in ancient China.
But maybe she won't have any kissing (except perhaps just a forehead or cheek kiss) and no physical intimate scenes for her. 🙏

Also, unfortunately, it looks like Shen Yue will not be in this drama. I was looking forward to seeing her in a historical drama like this and Wang Xingyue.🥺

There is a rumor that Dilraba will be the female lead and that Deng Wei may possibly be the male lead.

I think it is a modern, romance fantasy. On the poster it shows them both in pants, outlined in modern clothes.

I love these two as actors/actresses as well as Li Yitong and Liu Yuning. Personally, I would love to see Li Yitong in a Costume or historical drama with Liu Xue Yi!🤗

Tan Jianci may actually be a little shorter than 5ft 9in. He had to have insoles and a female actress recently, had to bend her knees standing next to him while they were filming. At least that is what I read.
Also, at the last awards ceremony, Dilraba (with high hills on) and Tan Jianci with others, were lined up, and TJC was shortest guy & shorter than her (with those shoes on).

Dilraba and Xiao Zhan are a major Dream Pairing for me too! I know it is unlikely and may be difficult, but it shouldn't be impossible for them to paired as couple in a drama, just because of controlling "fans". The CCP controls most things/people in the entertainment industry, and they often don't listen to the fans. So I hope that the producers, directors and XZ & Reba won't let those "fans" stop from partnering up some time.🥺🙏

They both are fine (I favor Tan Jianci), but he would have height problems with Dilraba.
Also, personally I don't think Cheng Yi's facial features are usually attractive. 🤪

Leo Wu was transitioning into a more mature look during that time. He would probably look just fine if they were together! Besides, some people only think that because there was a concerted effort to sabotage them as leads and as a couple, especially poor Dilireba, in favor of a certain "Green Tea".
