Title Dazzling
This drama completely caught me off guard. I went in with zero expectations, only to come out with a story that somehow stayed with me long after I finished watching. This is a drama I didn’t expect to love but did in the end.

And then there’s Li Yun Rui, who absolutely “Dazzling” in this role. I fell hard for his character, Xing Wu. His love language is acts of service, and honestly, it’s impossible not to fall for a man who shows his love through everything he does. He loves his family and friends with his whole heart, always ready to show up, protect them, and have their backs. LYR embodied the character very well.

You can’t help but root for Xing Wu. He’s the kind of person who makes you think, “If I had someone like that by my side, I’d never have to worry about anything.” With someone like Xing Wu in your corner, you sure won’t feel alone.

But beyond the characters, this is a drama for anyone who has ever felt like there’s no hope or found themselves facing one obstacle after another. It reminds you that setbacks don’t have to be the end of the road. Sometimes, you just have to keep moving forward, even when the path ahead isn’t clear.

A surprisingly inspiring watch that will make you laugh, root for the characters, and maybe even remind you not to give up on yourself.

I think everything is well balanced but something was off about how the suspense plot turn out . it’s not thrilling…
Yes, you’re right. I think I just wasn’t really feeling the Xiang Zi character. Maybe it’s the way the character was written or how he was inserted into the plot, but somehow it just didn’t click for me.

I would’ve preferred a stronger backstory for our FL. I feel like that part could’ve been developed better because, for me, it just didn’t quite gel with the rest of the story.

Maybe it’s just me—I don’t know 😂 I guess I simply prefer my dramas to be more slice-of-life, without the need for over-the-top villains. Or maybe I just wanted more screentime and more stories about the boys on the team. 😊

Just Give Me the Football—and the Abs 😂

At its heart, Road to Success is a feel-good sports drama about friendship, loyalty, resilience, hard work, and believing in yourself when everyone else says you can’t. And honestly? That was enough.

The sports/slice-of-life storyline was enjoyable, but the unnecessary thriller and suspense elements felt forced and distracted from what could have been a much stronger story. I would have preferred more focus on the players—their struggles, backstories, and how they overcame them.

Some characters, like Ju Li, felt completely unnecessary. Every time she appeared, my fast-forward button got some exercise. 😂

Esther Yu was… well, Esther Yu. If you’ve seen her other dramas, you know what you’re getting. 😅 Chen Jing Ke was good, though I felt he could have brought more depth to Wang Fa’s character.

But let’s be honest—the boys and their team chemistry stole the show. Their loyalty, friendship, determination, and love for football were easily my favorite parts.

This drama is a nice, feel-good sports drama that would have been even better without the unnecessary thriller detour.

And yes, Chen Jing Ke’s face, chest, and abs definitely helped me stay on the road. 😂
