I love the callback to previous seasons. If you're a fan since S1, the nostalgia hits. I also appreciate how they include details here and there about the world because it makes the world come alive. E.g., the Ever-changing Master and Lao Fei used to hang out--like what? That's cool--I mean he's a bad guy so that's not cool Lao Fei 😡 😉 Or the once grand mural is now a dust of cobwebs. And then when LLF fought the tavern boss, he questioned why this man did not show up when LLF fought the demon king a year ago. Lots of small details here and there that really bring the world to life.

And now my boy Xue Huan is captain of his own team, Ying Tao is starting to assimilate to a normal life by having a job with steady pay 🥹 and my boy LLF finally grew soft enough he doesn't even bash an eye with the PDA he's been showing Xijun.

Yah same cause when he got caught by the raptor I wasn't even worried for him one bit. This man will talk his way out of any situation.

I'm overdosing on the LLF and Xijun sweetness 😍 waited three seasons and now we're here.

Today's episodes were such a delight to watch! It's so fun watching everyone act differently from their true selves. Let's hope Banxia remembers the confession and confront Xuanye about it when they leave the painting.

I didn't care about the series when I saw the trailer for the first time. Thought it was stupid. Half way through episode one, I was still skeptical and rolled my eyes at Esther getting killed by lightning. Then, when DYX appears as Mu Sheng towards the end of the episode and I saw the chemistry between him and Esther with the chin grabbing scene, I was hooked 😍 Mind you I still can't get into Esther's character as Little Orchid in LBFAD but I LOVE her as Miao Miao in LGIEF. She and DYX'd chemistry is the best part of the show.

ending isn't trash for me. I dislike that it's open ending but for me it's a happy ending so i will accept it.

Just same casts. And a refence to the bunny apple. But otherwise theae are two completely different dramas.

It's opening ending but for me it's a happy ending. Up to the viewer to interpret. But the chemistry between the leads and four main casts are totally worth the journey.

From leaked images there was supposed to be an interaction between them during DYXs speech. But the duet and him going to get her twice were completely on Ding Yuxi and Esther themselves. There's a video of him coming down to ask her if the duet was part of the script and she shook her head no lol. You can tell they're very genuine with each other--not just them but the four bamboo masters. Bambi and Yang Shize stayed till the end of the event for them both. All three were teary eyed when DYX went to get his award.

also the parallels to moonlight like what is this--fate? zhou chuan was 29 when he got his award, he and esther were seated separately at the event, he came to help her off stage like how zhou chuan came to give her a kiss, the rabbit apple...

wait seriously? i didn't know that. also, is anyone reading more into bambi's reaction? one can think of it as her crying bc she's so proud of dyx for finally getting his well-deserved award, but it also looks like a "omg, are they finally confessing?" idk i just feel like her rxn was a bit strong there. in any case, i whole heartedly love the four of them so much.
