Both of these stories feature an unlucky female lead that struggles surviving within her upstart family. We get to know these smart and cunning female leads through childhood until her marriage. Both female leads fall for the 2nd male lead and almost marry but get separated by schemes. The cunning male leads scheme to marry the female leads and eventually are to be wed and have their fair share of a scheming family. Both of the mls are scheming and brought honor through war merits rather than the scholarly men we typically see. But war and unloyal subjects keep the leads on their toes. While these dramas have a very similar pacing LLTG is my more my style. The ml is work driven man with no time for females except for the girl he fell for at first sight. The female lead is a different kind of smart she is skilled in architecture and is not so great at studying literature. While in TSML the male lead already has children with another woman and eventually falls for the fl because she sets him on the right track. The fl is more of a book smart kind of girl with some schemes to help her in the family. This drama also puts way more emphasis on the true treatment of daughters during this time period. Both dramas have an excellent cast and are worth the watch.

Both dramas are republican era dramas. Both feature an angst love story that will bring you to tears. The female leads both come to Shanghai from elsewhere to resolve unfinished business… deaths of loved ones. Fall in Love as angsty as it could be is still a less intense drama than Cruel Romance. Fall in Love centers more on war and the communist revolution while Cruel Romance centers around China’s war on opium. Both are amazing dramas with possessive male leads and features a weak to strong female lead. Beautiful time period; beautiful dramas. Enjoy the misunderstandings.

Do you like romantic comedies featuring married couples? A lovable girl? A cold male lead? Then these two are for you.

Believe in Love is partially a Xianxia drama and is much shorter and light hearted, but the first half reminded me so much of CDYY! Cuo Dian Yuan Yang is more of realistic costume drama compared to Believe in Love. But both are priceless comedic dramas that need to be shared.

They are based off the same webtoon by the same name, cheese in the trap. Tip: I searched everywhere for this movie and found it on Amazon Prime.

They are both about the same story. Scarlet heart is the drama that is more intense. A time to love is the movie and is a lot more light hearted. Both are tearjerkers though.

It just has the same feel with the main male leads being the same. He helps the female lead with their profession. When a snail falls in love is a little less on the romance though.

There are a lot of similarities between these two. First of all the main female lead is the same actress and the second male lead in both of these is the same. If you watch cruel romance, remember ying dong? Well his brother in cruel romance is playing his father in stay with me. I find that a bit weird, but his character still does everything he can for his family. Also the main lead in here also does so much for the female lead in secret, like in cruel romance. The main female lead does some crappy things to the main lead as well. Also there is the situation of "killing" her father.

They both are crime and suspense dramas. The leads have amnesia. They have amnesia due an accident during a mission. Oh and of course they both have a little romance in them.
