Well...there is a lot to like in this but overall I was disappointed. I actually did not like the FL character. I'm not sure if it was the direction or acting but to me she felt cold for too long.
Best thing was seeing all the familiar faces both more recent ones like Lai Wei Ming to veterans like Peter Ho! I loved seeing Jeremy Xu again and may need to go re-watch Royal Rumors now.
The most fast forwardable drama I have seen in a while. I stuck it out because the ML amd FL did have some growth arcs individually and together which was good! Tan Jian Ci pretty much carried.
Like other comments said there is some really strong acting in this but unfortunately the story doesnt hold up at all. Just watch for classic "Love conquers all" fuzzy feelings.
Also I loved the eyes on the actor for the cousin, Jang Seung Jo. They were large and expressive and I loved the crinkles when he smiled!
The quiet yearning in this is delicious! No it isn't perfect and the pacing fell apart around episode 20. Also I could barely stand the father and brother characters. It is one thing to be foolish but being selfish and arrogant on top of it make them insufferable.
Probably an odd comment, but the confession from the 2ML was the best I've seen in a while. It was heartfelt, mature, and he acknowledged her feelings. Also made it clear he would respect her either way.
Otherwise this show is not about the plot. More about feelings and little stories to make you reflect on life. You need to be in the right mood to enjoy.
I thought this was a pretty tight story until the end. What happened to the priest? What about the shaman? No consequences for the Taebaek CEO? Why did it feel like the sister could see her dad at the end and was totally fine with her bro having ghost adventures even though she wasn't part of the group that knew about the ghosts?
Overall the show was fun and I liked the characters. Great OST! I still would recommend it for something different.
It was better than I feared given some of the feedback on here. However I do think you should go into it with the mindset of melodrama over anything else.
It was my first time seeing the ML Jin Young and I loved how he moved during fight scenes. I would like to see more of him in a proper thriller or action role!
After story of pearl girl and love ambition i will say any new drama of her will never give the same feeling her…
I feel bad but I agree. I still love her and will root for her. But I could not connect with her last two characters. It did feel stilted. I miss her spark and even if her spark looks different in the future I hope she finds it!
I did not understand what happened in episode 12. Is the little boy ghost alive or dead? Was he the one kidnapped…
It looks like the kidnapper had a son and we dont know what happened to his original son only that the kidnapper seems to target boys that look like his son. A year ago he captured a boy to be his new son but he died. That is the boy ghost. The kidnapper is currently trying again with a new little boy which is who was found alive at the golf place. I hope that was clearer?

Overall a fun watch!

He Yu hard carried this with emotional scenes and character growth. The chemistry was also off the charts!
Otherwise...its a meh for me.
