Did this drama have a happy ending? Did he die from his brain tumor?

I'm really interested in seeing a main character with Alexithymia you don't see it very often in dramas and I loved the portrayal of it in the MC of Stranger it's what made him to me the most interesting and complex character in that drama though others might disagree with me and my favorite ML overall in Korean and Chinese dramas. With his unique upbringing, childhood, and condition of being diagnosed with alexithymia and due to that everyone confused about his choices, bluntness, convictions, and what he wants and even he himself confused about that let alone others, and I hope some of that is in this drama.

I wonder if there'll be a plot twist and what they mention in the synopsis is serious like Is the FL is actually pregnant, maybe she reveals it halfway through the story or doesn't yet know? Or the MLs Brain tumor is not a misdiagnosis like in Crazy Love and will not have a last second life saving surgery. This reminds me of Wayne basically the same plot of leaving everything to go on a journey with his GF (this drama ex gf) to look for a parent who abandoned them minus the brain tumor but still no happy ending.

Does this show have a central main character or two, or is it really an ensemble cast that focuses on 7 main characters?

It's karma, I personally wouldn't feel bad but I understand feeling empathy for someone facing hardship even though they aren't a good person. Just to clarify I meant karma for her abandoning her son and being abandoned in return not losing her daughter.

For people that like this drama I recommend watching The King of Tears, Lee Bang Won. It's an amazing drama with a similar story to this following an ambitious and ruthless man, also no sad ending.

Is the ending of this drama like Goodbye my princess where the FL dies and MC survives and becomes emperor at the very end?

Kang Xi Dynasty (2001), this is the best show featuring Kang Xi featuring his whole life from beginning to end.

He's dead? How did he die? Did they show his remaining life leaving his body and then he dropped dead or just a cut to a "corpse" that belonged to him?

Well seeing as the director and writer of this drama was also the director of MJTY I'm sure he's going for a sad ending again. I just checked every single project he was involved in as the screenwriter and all of them since 2018 either have a Sad Ending or Open Ending so I'm pretty sure this drama isn't going to be the exception.

This show is just amazing! No white washing and turning famous historical figures known to be extremely ruthless into saints here like in Cao Cao (2015). This show accurately represents King Taejong for who and everything he was the good and the bad, emphasis on the bad.

I miss this drama, wish there was a season 2. Apparently there is a donghua and the trailer was released years ago, I hope atleast that comes out some day.

Why is the ML the FLs assistant in the trailer? Isn't he supposed to be a doctor lol? So either he quit to be her assistant, FL asked and his hospital thought It would be better for him to be an actresses assistant instead of saving lives as a doctor, or he's a similar situation to the FL in Hi Venus where the FL offended a higher up and now he's suspended or fired so he's chasing after the FL now as her assistant in the meantime

So the only scene in the novel where the ML gets married is at the end? So in this trailer it's either that or a whole new scenario not in the novel?

I saw someone say that in the novel there's a HE and they get married, while watching the trailer it looked like they get married at the end of it.

For novel readers is this a planned political marriage somewhere before the end or something that might hint at a HE and the marriage scene at the end of the novel?
