Title Police in Love Spoiler
If you watched this, you support predators, giving money to yin while he activly showed his support for a predator…
Everyone will have to judge for themselves. I'm watching the show, but I do not consider watching this show as supporting predators.

This is what I know about this controversy:

The Prom Ratchapat's Scandal
In June 2025, actor Prom Ratchapat was dropped by his management agency following severe public allegations of sexual misconduct.

The "Like" Backlash
In January 2026, eagle-eyed fans noticed that Yin Anan Wong liked an Instagram photo posted by Prom.

The Fan Reaction
Because of Prom's actions, some fans reacted with anger, criticizing Yin for interacting with or supporting someone labeled a predator.

Hi!! I'm wondering if anyone can help me. I dropped this. Why?? I don't recall, BUT, I remember leaving off on…
At least in episode 6 the leads get drunk. The ML is worried about his sister who wants to marry an enemy. He is angry and decides to drink away the alcohol meant for her marriage celebration and the FL keeps him company. She also performs a sword dance while totally wasted.

You people are so weird about women. You can’t see one and NOT think about sex. Just brain-rotted because that’s…
You said: "Lolicon is a GENRE just like mystery, thriller, and romance. Saying someone is dressed in the “lolicon style” is like you saying someone is dressed in the “thriller style”. It doesn’t make any sense language-wise. "
"... and refers to a genre of manga, anime, or artwork that depicts young or young-looking characters in a sexualized manner."

I know and that's still what I said and what I was talking about. I said lolicon style just like I would say gothic (also a genre) style. It works with certain genres that have an established look.

Harajuku fashion is a broad umbrella term for diverse Japanese street styles, while Lolita fashion is a specific, structured subgenre that originated within that Harajuku scene. Lolicon is a particular brand of hypersexualisation. These are not exact synonyms.

Lolita style is the broader term, lolicon is a current localised expression of that cultural trope, all of it is related to sexualisation of girls. The picture had doll face makeup with an open mouth, which have lolicon and sexdoll connotations. No one, in the making of the picture, even had to purposefully try to make these references, but all the reference pieces (lets face it, a lot of women's style is derived from some objectifying idea) came together in an unfortunate way and that's how the pic reads. Being aware of how things READ is a part of media literacy.

You've been condescending the whole time, I chose to ignore it, but I'm done now, bye!

I'm not from a sex obsessed culture, I don't know about you. I'm for women's right to their own bodies and sexuality. The picture they took down was objectifying. The picture they took down had a lolicon reference, and the open mouth was an unfortunate part of it. How aware everyone involved in creating and posting the pic was of how it looked, is a slightly different issue. Trends come from subcultures, often watered down some for mainstream use. It's sad that women and girls are objectified in various insidious ways; and yes, the picture was one of those instances. Lusi looked like an OBJECT, the open mouth contributed to the effect. The connotations for a man in a similar picture, would probably not be the same, that is precisely because men are not ojectified the same ways as women, because there is a double standard, this is all part of misogyny.

More clarification for where I'm coming from with my criticism:
"Industry Standards and Scrutiny: Regulatory bodies, such as the UK's Advertising Standards Authority (ASA), closely monitor advertising imagery to ensure OPEN-MOUTH or suggestive poses are not used to inappropriately sexualize models, particularly younger individuals"

Also, harajuku and lolicon are not exact synonyms.

You don't have much media literacy then, if you don't see and pick up on references in media including pictures, word and film. I'm not young at all by the way.

OMG, is this a real person?😯 She looks like a blow-up sex doll or an AI creation!!! Horrible - if it's real…
The substance of my objection (i.e. lolicon is harmful) does not change depending on how many people liked the photo. I don't hate Zhao Lusi, she is one of my favourite Chinese actors.

I found it interesting that some viewers either didn't notice or had issues with the female lead being a little older than the ML, or tried to ignore that she was older. I thought the fact that she wasn't a girl was part of the whole story. The characters even commented about the ML being pretty and the FL lead said womething like "he could be a boy toy". The classic tradgic unloved, hardass ML that is secure in his masculinity, is exactly the type of ML, that apart from being domineering himself, will also enjoy some manhandling and claiming behaviour from the romantic partner they trust. I thought that was part of the dynamic between the the FL and ML, and if the FL would have been the usual younger woman, it would have been less interesting.

It's lolicon style, focused on young or young-looking girl characters, particularly in a sexually suggestive, fetishistic or erotic context. Lolicon is unnecessary and frankly harmful to women and girls, both for their mental health and physical safety, just like child beauty pageants in the US. Since Lusi has struggled with her mental well being, I find this seriously off-putting and a strange choice for her. The puffy under eye makeup is and older thing, used on both men and women around Asia.

Very emotionless! And for me she looked a little too old for this role. Not that she is old just that she looked…
I like the fact that she is a few years older, even older than the male lead. She is a military leader, with experience. Age just makes her character more interesting. She has the emotional expression of a grown woman, I like it.

Oh yes, could it be that this series really has a female lead that's a whole actual person, not a charicature of femininity!?! Please, please let it be so! I'm tired of finding the depictions of women too irritating!

Title Payback
I'm so confused by the ratings on this one, I came back 2 times to be sure I was watching the right show :oI just…
The wig crimes go away, mostly. The actor playing Jay stays at his iffy level. I got over the issues from episode two onward, because Sun's character carries the show, he stays consistent. If you get him and his psychological profile, you get his dynamic with the other ML Jay, and that kept this interesting, instead of seeing it as gratuitous noncon. The subtitles I had were horrendous though, and made the emotional conversations the leads had burdensome to decipher, especially if you didn't have a solid read on their dynamics. I'd rate this an 8.

It's the style of the show. There are plenty of shows that do this. Personally, I'm not a big fan of the pouty idiot treatment characters get with this over the top stylistic choice.

I'm not a prude, but I can't even take Goblin seriously. She is a legal adult at 18, I get that but, I think teenager and older person relationships are not okay in romantic comedies, indeed they could've made her a college student at least. When I was in high school in my country, the age of students was 16-19. One of the former students got married to a teacher and we thought it was weird then. People under 25 rarely get married, unless they belong to a strange religion or sect, let alone to a teacher. As expected they got divorced some years later, even thought their age gap was relatively small, considering the circumstances, at around 6 years.

Is it that the original Klao didn't know Phop is in love with him or did the original Klao know and turn Phop down? This keeps bothering me. I mean it looks like the original Klao was a drunk womanizing menace to society that kept running away from Phop, but did he know or not.....
