Just finished Ep 1...frankly, this sons in the 2054 talking about dads-thing is not working for me so far...and the electric tension, those intense pauses and stares from season 1 are all missing...the editing was so sharp in the earlier season and this one seems a little too verbose, the characters explaining a lot more than emoting with eyes and pauses like in the earlier one....I hope this doesn't turn out to be a disappointment :(
It seems like Es Prinwat, the director for season 2 has been training under/assisting Boss Kuno for a long time ..his credentials list documentaries on all of Boss's shows - I Told Sunset About You, I Promised You the Moon, and Gelboys ...so I think we will get a good show this time too...

I loved Teshow...such beautiful eyes and reasonably good acting for a newcomer...Ping seems to have improved a bit, but still has a long way to go in terms of acting and facial expressions

Thanks! So agree about I feel You Linger In the Air...one of the best that has ever come out from Thailand...also a rare case where I liked the live-action drama more than the book. I hunted down the novel and read it because I felt so betrayed that they didn't do the next season after us that sneak preview at the every end of season 1. Your season 2 ideas sound good...and yes, I dont think the final scene depicted a cured Pei Yanzhi actually coming back to meet his A Qi....it was more like dream/metaphorical vision of their union.
This drama didn't really deal with homophobia. It dealt with something bigger. Barth wasn't sent to the school…
Thanks for sharing your views. I agree to an extent, but even though the drama mostly steered clear of delving into the challenging aspects of homophobia directly, the entire premise is homophobia.
The reason Tanrak and Barth faced those dilemma is homophobia, the reason Barth's father was trying to beat the shit out of him is homophobia, the reason both Tanrak and Barth felt alienated and experienced all that self-loathing, including doubts about them being worthy of their parents' or anybody's love or kindness, is homophobia...even when they chose themselves and their love, like how Aunt Lek also did....all of them constantly had to contend against the guilt of being sinners and deserters of people who supported them, and that again is clearly owing to how they were made to believe from early on that it is their mistake that they had to move away and not the other way round, which again is a clear result of homophobia and religious dogma around it
So I disagree with the take that the drama did not show homophobia...it was all over and it was the very premise of this show and story. It is just that the storytelling did not actively engage with the subject and focused more on the personal journeys of Tanrak and Barth of accepting themselves and their love...but the entire idea of this story would have been non-existent without the very real and clear presence of homophobia and religious dogma around accepting people who are queer-trans.
They hit each other on the road bang on, from what it seemed and both fell sideways on to the beach and then, on top of each other....even the benevolent BL-gods must be cringing from up above/down under....🙄🙄🙄

Exactly....but when we are blinded by jealousy, anger, and ego, we fail to see any reason, and usually take the path that has the potential to hurt our perceived 'enemies' the most, no matter who they are, and what the consequences of our actions are...thankfully Pin woke up and reconsidered before it was too late

If you really ask me, Sasin did not really need to be apologetic about falling for the man his cousin loved, particularly knowing full well that he will never ever fall for her...and yet he apologised considering her feelings and positions and also the fact that he promised to protect her and look out for her and understood that it must have felt like a betrayal when she learnt of their relationship. But in the strictest sense, why can't he love a man just because his cousin fancied him? The hurt is understandable, like any of us would feel if the person we love doesn't love us back and loves another close to us...but that does not entitle us to a revenge using our societal power advantage..Pin was downright a monster in that context...but as a human being both Sasin and Saenkaew disregarded that and kept thinking of her and her feelings....and people are still harping on how Pin was a victim in the this context...she was NOT..on the contrary, she was the perpetrator
It was actually Saenkaew who was in a soul-crushing pain, he already had the huge baggage of his POS father blaming him for his mother's death, holding him ransom to a loveless, imposed life-long partnership to rescue their assets and family reputation, protect grandma, and then also the burden of trying to work out a solution that helped his undeserving father, while at the same time not break the heart of the girl who loved him....but Pin could see none of that because she was too engrossed in her self-pity and victimhood, albeit not without reasons, but none of that was due to Saenkaew or Sasin.
If Pin didn't insist on marrying Saenkaew out of her desire for revenge, a lot of what transpired, would never have happened in the first place. Saekaew would have got the marriage certificate with Rachawadee, transferred the assets as per his POS father's demands, and saved Pin from a loveless marriage....
But what did she chose to do instead - force the man to marry her, turned a blind eye to the pleadings of the man she claimed to love, disregard that her father-in-law would do harm to her 'dear' cousin and blurted all of their whereabouts to him....and then when Sasin was down with a bullet-wound and destroyed from having watched his love get married to his own cousin, a woman he didn't love.....Pin shows up in the pretext of feeding him herbs, to rub it in that she was in Bangkok with 'her husband'....and also try everything in her power to guilt-trip the only person in her entire family who protected, loved and cared for her... such malice and viciousness...and yet neither of these two men blamed her....and she is supposed to be victim out of these three!! RIGHT...the blindness of it all!
I tell you , Pin was downright a disgusting and evil MONSTER during this phase....and not by default, but by choice....she deserved absolutely NO kindness from either Sasin or Saenkaew after what she did, forget apologies...and yet both of these men continued to apologise to her, and did not even once bring up how she, single-handedly ruined their chance at happiness and forced Sasin to almost die in the process....because they genuinely cared for her feelings and well being.
She DID NOT give up Saenkaew to Sasin...he never belonged to her in the first place...... what was she doing dissolving in self-pity, making it seem like she is making this HUGE sacrifice....it was either that, or her stuck with a loveless, bitter marriage for a lifetime...
Thankfully better reason prevailed and she saw the folly in her behaviour...and yes towards the later part she could get rid of her monster-like tendencies, and start being more rational and humane, and I believe, could retrace her way back to loving the duo....as she should have been able to do a long time ago, for the only two people who really cared for her...and she is NO VICTIM in that context...she should thank her lucky stars that both Sasin and Saenkaew let it go, like they did for the POS father....
Pin's hurt and pain was a reality, but so was her evil, monster avatar, even if short-lived
