I was afraid of this. I respect Boss's decision not to direct. He is truly an artist and probably doesn't wanna…
Couldn't agree more about Boss...each of his pieces are stunning!

The first episode felt a bit like a waste of airtime. Half of the episode was just scenes from the first season,…
Yes, and this almost felt like a politically correct ending for season 1, which, for me ruins the entire appeal of the first season which felt raw and realistic

Yes, they added an episode, going from 7 to 8, but that episode was just a pointless rehash of season 1. It didn't…
Fingers crossed

same, i kind of cringed at their apology tour. very much the opposite of show, don't tell
ikr...it felt almost gratuitous and starkly different from the realistic, I-dont-want- to face my mistakes, teeny-human running away in the first season...I mean this is very politically correct and all, but errr...that wasn't what I was hoping this would be

On Gelboys Season 2 12 hours ago
Just finished Ep 1...frankly, this sons in the 2054 talking about dads-thing is not working for me so far...and the electric tension, those intense pauses and stares from season 1 are all missing...the editing was so sharp in the earlier season and this one seems a little too verbose, the characters explaining a lot more than emoting with eyes and pauses like in the earlier one....I hope this doesn't turn out to be a disappointment :(

It seems like Es Prinwat, the director for season 2 has been training under/assisting Boss Kuno for a long time ..his credentials list documentaries on all of Boss's shows - I Told Sunset About You, I Promised You the Moon, and Gelboys ...so I think we will get a good show this time too...

I absolutely loved, loved, loved Gelboys....so very hyped for this season 2

Title Match Point
I loved Teshow...such beautiful eyes and reasonably good acting for a newcomer...Ping seems to have improved a bit, but still has a long way to go in terms of acting and facial expressions

Noooooooooooooo....why are they re-making this now....there were so many other dramas that never got made, they could have picked one out of those.

I am not going to watch this. The OG remains a favourite because of the Book-Frame (Ohm -Toey) pair....which reminds me I sooooo miss Ohm Phawat ....I hope we get to see him as a BL lead soon

Review Love Destiny
Great review. You said everything I wanted to say.I love the time travel genre, and so far I Feel You Linger in…
Thanks! So agree about I feel You Linger In the Air...one of the best that has ever come out from Thailand...also a rare case where I liked the live-action drama more than the book. I hunted down the novel and read it because I felt so betrayed that they didn't do the next season after us that sneak preview at the every end of season 1. Will surely watch the Scent of Memory, as advised.

I started Most Beautiful Count and Love Upon a Time, and dropped both. I just wish someone makes another time travel BL drama that is as beautiful as IFYLITA

Yes, I did edit my review to add this aspect of the story..:)

I totally agree! I ended it feeling like I just wanted to rewatch The Untamed. Of course the actual on-screen…
Your season 2 ideas sound good...and yes, I dont think the final scene depicted a cured Pei Yanzhi actually coming back to meet his A Qi....it was more like dream/metaphorical vision of their union.

This drama didn't really deal with homophobia. It dealt with something bigger. Barth wasn't sent to the school…
Thanks for sharing your views. I agree to an extent, but even though the drama mostly steered clear of delving into the challenging aspects of homophobia directly, the entire premise is homophobia.

The reason Tanrak and Barth faced those dilemma is homophobia, the reason Barth's father was trying to beat the shit out of him is homophobia, the reason both Tanrak and Barth felt alienated and experienced all that self-loathing, including doubts about them being worthy of their parents' or anybody's love or kindness, is homophobia...even when they chose themselves and their love, like how Aunt Lek also did....all of them constantly had to contend against the guilt of being sinners and deserters of people who supported them, and that again is clearly owing to how they were made to believe from early on that it is their mistake that they had to move away and not the other way round, which again is a clear result of homophobia and religious dogma around it

So I disagree with the take that the drama did not show homophobia...it was all over and it was the very premise of this show and story. It is just that the storytelling did not actively engage with the subject and focused more on the personal journeys of Tanrak and Barth of accepting themselves and their love...but the entire idea of this story would have been non-existent without the very real and clear presence of homophobia and religious dogma around accepting people who are queer-trans.

Review Payback
This drama is based off a Manhua. And it is storyboarded the same way the manhua is. Nice review. you expressed…
I haven't read the Manhua, but I definitely love this show ...after episode 3, I would say this goes to my top 5 currently airing BLs

First minute was a kiss-fall so...
They hit each other on the road bang on, from what it seemed and both fell sideways on to the beach and then, on top of each other....even the benevolent BL-gods must be cringing from up above/down under....🙄🙄🙄
