Title Till the End of the Moon Spoiler
Rock your inner Maleficent!
I really want her to get comfortable with the crows. So, they perch on her shoulder and she strokes their heads and is every inch the dark Empress she could be.

TTJ poking YXW
He is definitely starting to suspect that she isn’t her. He is poking that theory quite a bit in this episode.

Oh, while TTJ is growing a love tree, this family is all growing conscience trees.
Maybe Jiminy Cricket will sit in its branches.

Episode 19: Apparently insubordinate demons make Foxy peckish.
And right after they were talking about the palace rules prohibiting burping. For shame Foxy, for shame!

Title Till the End of the Moon Spoiler
Other Mysteries (4 in total) My Brain is Contemplating:
1. Why does Sister Ruby’s and some of the other maids' hair look like the Eye of Sauron Devil God is always wearing on his shoulders? Meanwhile, Sister Beryl and the other maids wear their hair the same as Sang Jiu…

This does not bode well…

I just can’t tell if it means that Ming Ye is going to have to choose between Sang Jiu and Tian Huan (either his promise to her father to protect her or because she joins sides with the Devil God or one of his devil lieutenants) “For so little water, I did quite a lot.” (Episode 13) (What? What did you do? Tell me!) OR between Sang Jiu and the Devil God.

2. Lianhua, the “little brat” that drops Ji Ze flowers, that he throws out of Heaven as “punishment” so he can hide in the mortal world and cultivate and avoid *cough* survive *cough* the war between Gods and Demons. He’ll be back.

3. Yue Ya, previously names Yue Fuya. (The little girl Yi XeWu found in the Barren Abyss) Lan’an’s daughter. Lan’an said when she went back to the Yiyue tribe (TTJ’s mother’s tribe) she was forced to marry the chief. Depending on if the chief was TTJ’s grandfather or uncle that would make Yue Ya either his cousin or aunt. She’ll be back.

4. I am trying to figure out what Jing Mie (purple male lieutenant Devil) is. Si Ying (red female lieutenant Devil) is 100% that crow from Episode 5 that TTJ used his new powers on and changed the crow’s eyes red.

The pet tiger is a solid contender, but his eyes are currently a shocking teal. The only purple I have seen of note is Pian Ran’s magic. Maybe she does something to the tiger? Or TTJ straight-up kills her and siphons her magic off into the tiger?

They both bow to him using the Yiyue tribe bow, so they each have some connection to his mortal life, which is…interesting.

Title Till the End of the Moon Spoiler
Why the River Arc Matters [Episode 15, been wanting to post since Episode 11]
Are we all caught up to where I need you to be so this isn’t “spoilers” anymore? (Episode 15)
Good. Excellent.

Because I have been wanting to post this since Episode 11!

(cut the rant about why I don’t like this arc, as it is personal opinion and not analysis)

But I do get why the Arc is here:

1. Story. Exposition. World-building. And I appreciate that the writers are doing it in a creative way I haven’t seen before.

2. Condensed character development. It allows TTJ and YXW to examine ideas like regret and miscommunication and get to the cuddling and the hand-holding that I am going to love, but then will hurt me when she stabs him with the fragments of his tears.

And then Episode 11 happened and the Devil God showed up in his golden Matt-Smith-if he-had-chemical-burns mask and his Eye-of-Sauron-umbrella-hat, with his Sky Slashing Sword.

And this is when I started caring about the River Arc.

Because the Devil God was so obviously, painfully Cang Jiu Min (got that off of MDL, did they ever actually say his name in Episode 1 or only his name when he was a mortal?)

Okay, suddenly the River Arc had a point!

Because Meng Yi is remembering his life and mistakes and regrets. That means this is his past. But during his past Cang Jiu Min was the Devil God. But Cang Jiu Min hasn’t been born yet. He is still the mortal Tantai Jin. He will not be the Cang Jiu Min for another 500 years.

Which means Meng Yi is remembering something that happened at least 500 years in the future!

Which means Li Su Su is not the only one who has the ability, nor the only one who has gone back /came back (verbs are weird with time travel) from the 500 years in the future timeline!

Immediately starts eyeing all the characters. Pian Ran? Scholar Pang? Tantai’s Chief Guard? All the Gods that we know for an absolute fact died?
