I mean, I am very much here for different styles if it is satisfying. I am sorry but their mouths barely move, it is like the director cut to the end of every kiss to make them look awkward INTENTIONALLY. WilliamEst've said with their own mouths multiple times that they kissed for a really long time.
My question is, are these really the best takes? I have doubts, it looks like a weird stylistic choice and dare I say even WilliamEst seem disappointed by it.

I don't like any of the kissing scenes. Why the hell are they cut so weird and short? I just really don't understand. I don't think that William and Est can't kiss, they did amazing as Rome and Mok so it must be the director this time, right? I am so irked because otherwise WE have such a charged chemistry.

Anyways, I do enjoy the series, I especially love the choice of music and the styling of WE.

I am enjoying this way too more than I'd dared to hope. William and Est are so talented and holy hell, Est's visuals are sending me to orbit. I mean William is absolutely handsome too but there is something really special about Est' look in this drama. Moth suits him.

I tend to give the benefit of doubt to characters when they don't run or hide from danger but in this case Phob is a captain, leader of soldiers, he should know better. Writing a scenario where him getting wounded is inevitable is not that hard. Him losing all sense of tactics is all kinds of lazy writing.

You are spot on with Tinnakorn. He regressed in the finale. I am so saddened, they built his character up so nicely.

They never did anything with Vasin threatening Tin with Phob's life either. They dropped the ball on that one. I thought surely it would be the moment for Tin to really stand up to his father when it came to Phob almost dying but it ended with him begging and crying. Everyone was snatching him up and dragging him away with force the whole episode. The Tin I know is not useless but a fighter.

The reason I didn't want Phob to die was because of Tin (and ngl I adore Phob, I want him happy too). He is the last character in this drama who deserves to suffer. I did hope they would show a reincarnated version of them though (of course after Tin and Phob lived a long and happy life together) where Phob's vision becomes a reality. Ongsa kind of said in an interview that if their characters can't be happy in the 1930s, they can in the present time. I was wondering if they are really ending it with reincarnation after a sad ending but nope. Maybe Ongsa was thinking of actually them as InnOngsa, I am not sure.

Omg same I genuinely was wondering if it was written by someone different. Just all together wobbly. Like for one example, the way it was written AND directed how Aum and Tin got separated. So stupid. At least they should have made him faint so others think he is dead or something so it would make sense why those men dragged Aum away. And Phob just walking so casually while they were getting bombed. What? At least run!

I liked the prison scene the best too! Yeah, minus the kneeling. I was so mad. Phob did nothing wrong towards Vasin! The one and only person who has the right to be angry is Tin! I also liked the way Tin hold Phob's hand and kissed it lovingly. The previous scene with the kiss under the tree was not it. I felt nothing but disappointment. And I know these men can act but how come Tin was surprised for a whole 10 seconds when the "dead" Phob appeared and then his face was like "oh well". I wonder if Ongsa thought it was stupid too and was over it.

And btw when that dumb bomb scene happened, I laughed. It was ridiculous with that heart to heart. Suddenly no one was shooting, I guess even the soldiers were shocked by the amazingly bad timing. Plus why did Phob, a captain just push Tin away and called it a day? Why did he just stand there? Falling with Tin would have shielded Tin more against the shrapnels, no? And Phob would also suffer less injury me thinks.

Oh and when Chat wanted to shoot Phob but Tin was holding onto the gun. Like whhyy was Phob calm? I don't think he ever once tried to stop Chat. Also why didn't Tin stand in front of Phob? From a directing standpoint that would make more sense. And why didn't they show Phob's reaction throughout that scene? I think they showed it once or twice close to the end of it but that was it. That was so awkward to me.

I could go on and on, I am really disappointed the more I think about it. They wanted to do a lot of things but maybe didn't know how?

What a great start! I know Est dislikes Dean but I genuinely like that character so far. I cannot decide who is more handsome, Est or William. They are a ridiculously attractive pair.

Btw that fake out death was foul! I knew it was coming when I saw how many minutes were left of the running time. I hated it, especially how it was resolved. Really half assed. For a moment I thought I was wrong and Tin was in the afterlife or dreaming but then Phob said "You still think you are dreaming?" Or something like that and I said f*ck youuuu.

They are! It was confirmed by them on stage :D

When Ongsa started to sing randomly, I laughed wheeeeww I needed that. The way Inn stayed in character until the end though, what a king. I am really glad they added some bloopers, what a fun note to end an emotional journey on.

I think the finale was amongst the weakest if not the weakest episode of the whole series. I have beef with it.. a lot. Still I am giving this show 9/10 for everything else. Acting, wardrobe, music, chemistry, visuals and most of the writing were something special. I will forever remember TEOH and will re-watch it some time later. Except the last episode.. maybe. Idk I will probably fast forward a lot of it.

InnOngsa, let me bow down to you, dear sirs! Such talents! On to your next projects!

About the preview, did Tin just show his dad the imaginary middle finger and ditched him for Phob? Dad's dumb idea to reign in Tin was to threaten him with Phob's life? Yeah, he doesn't know his son lol

Vaseline really needs to stfu and do something actually useful. I wonder how Tin's mom was because obviously he didn't take after his moron father.

It was really hard to concentrate at times because Phob rocked those suits. My eyes were blessed, like wow, sir, I honestly at point was loudly gushing over him. Also, Ongsa gave us a great performance while serving looks in that black outfit. He is so amazingly natural, I can't explain, like he just adds something real to his acting. And btw Inn is so talented too, I need to mention him too because if last week was Ongsa's standout performance, Inn took this week's. Just a ton of subtle facial expressions. Love, love, love how talented both of them are.

An epic love story deserves a happy ending. Life is depressing enough. I never got the realistic ending argument and I don't think I ever will. These characters are such good people that deserve the best possible outcome which is a happily ever after.

I can't stop thinking about this drama ughh. About the sad or happy ending debate, my two cents.

They never really had a chance to truly be together. First Phob was a slave and Tin a prince, they were young and forcefully separated, they could do nothing at that time. After the time skip, Phob might have climbed the ranks but they still had to hide just to spend some time together, even if they ran away, it never would have worked. They would have had to live in hiding. For the third time they can have the chance to truly be on the same level both status, experience and world view. It HAS to be a happy ending of them finally being able to love, otherwise we would have gotten episode 9's ending as the finale.

Don't forget Ongsa's ost lyrics:

"No matter how distant the path, or how long we must endure
It may feel like an eternity, as if the dream will never come true
But true love, I still believe it will conquer all
And I believe that day will be beautiful enough to wait for."

OMG I loved this episode! I think I need to re-watch it tomorrow my tears were flowing and I couldn't concentrate at times, my emotions were everywhere. To me, this drama is getting better and better, really amazing character moments are happening.

The first half of ep. 9 I was scared that we are getting the "Phob was wrong and poor royals" special. That type of black and white writing is so juvenile. Tin is so great and smart, it would have been a waste to just end his arc with him not seeing snd experiencing the other side of the argument. We got something that I am really vibing with, which is everything happens for a reason and even if life knocks you down, it is okay to feel bad for a while but you gotta pick yourself up because great things will happen. I was so happy granny has a similar idea of life and taught it to Tin.

Phob is going through it as well. I loved that he was watching Tin from afar, that was amazingly directed. Though I didn't believe for a second that he would ever let him out of his sight and would have no idea about Tin becoming a teacher. That was the only thing I was side eyeing.

The ending convo between them.. so amazingly done, Tin has grown so much. Phob really needed to hear it from Tin that his sacrifice did help some people. Phob not stopping Tin was really wise and shows his love AND growth from an earlier scene in this episode where he naively wanted to continue the relationship like nothing has happened. At the end he knew now is not time yet, there is more healing to be done. They can't continue where this relationship ended but they can have a new start with more life experience and maturity.

I think we are getting a happy ending. At least I hope so. Probably not everyone will survive but after all of this, a sad ending would be meaningless.

He was incredibly gracious about it, that is so Thin. I personally feel like there was nothing more Phob could say or do to change Thin's mind. Thin understood his reasoning but it is about his family and no rationality could cut through his unconditional love. Also, Phob hurt him, it is not easy to just accept the apology and move on, it is too fresh.

What I can't wait to see is him going against his father. That needs to happen at some point.

The drama didn't really show much of how bad it is for the citizens, so hopefully we will get to see it through Thin in the next episode. Like the writing is good but I feel like it is mostly empty talk if I don't see the actual situation of what we are fighting against. My heart is gonna hurt but Thin needs to experience it.
