I have not read the book yet. will help if I can get it or the link of English translation.i only saw the movie. it is one of the my fav. I rated the first part 10 but rated second part less than 10. Went back after few years and rated again as 10. the reason, it's my understanding that Xiao Chen deeply loved Lu Feng so much that even after the kidnap and torture he was ready to take the bullet meant for him.That realisation makes me think it will be a happy ending ( just going by what I read about third part which wasn't in the movie). people who believe in let bygones be bygones can have the happy ending.for me Xiao Chen will that person.
