Title The Wanted Detective Spoiler
Wanted to blab a bit, so here's my thought on this drama:
I think this drama is good, but the issues lie in the story itself. Its main focus is investigation, so there isn’t much romance to get invested in, but there are a lot of inconsistencies in the plot.

First, the investigations themselves feel completely unrealistic. Real investigations take time, but here there’s always some “urgent” deadline from the emperor, and cases keep piling up back-to-back. The main characters are either just one step too late to prevent a murder, or perfectly on time to save someone. It’s frustrating because it keeps feeling like the story is manipulating the timing rather than letting events unfold naturally.

Then there’s the whole “finding yesha” thing. Every time the emperor sets a deadline for discovering Yesha, the characters fail, get summoned, and somehow get another chance. It doesn’t make sense, they swore their lives on it. And i thought the emperor cannot revoke his word?

Xiao Beiming is smart, no doubt, but some of his deductions are just plain unrealistic. Locking himself in a room full of papers and “miraculously” figuring out that Tong Shuang is Yesha? That’s stretching it. The fake death at the Hei residence is important, but it’s not enough to prove anything, especially considering what they're been through together.

Speaking of that fake death, it was ridiculous. Tong Shuang pushes Xiao Beiming under a falling rock, takes his place, and…nobody checks or buries him afterward. Why would the Haiya people show up instead of his friends? And then there’s Zhong Xueman getting mad at Xiao Beiming for being depressed because his best friend “died"?? I mean, come on.

The whole setup with the poison in Xiao Beiming’s body being the antidote to the Swift Wind Pill (or whatever it was called) is also way too convenient. Zhong Xueman couldn’t have healed that fast, it would realistically take hours, maybe even days. And curing the whole population of poisoned water drinkers? Never explained, completely glossed over.

And Zhong Xueman recognizing Miao Yun from a portrait drawn by Zhuge Tong and saying he “seemed familiar"? Girl, bye.

Finally, the herbs, medicines, and natural elements show up in every crime scene, and the main characters always somehow know exactly what to do. It felt rushed and convenient, like the writers just wanted to tick off all the mystery boxes without bothering to explain how anyone could realistically figure it out.

That said, the drama does have its strong points. The suspense is solid, even if it drags at times, and the plot twists are genuinely impressive. The mystery of Yesha keeps you engaged, and there are moments where you can’t help but wonder how it’s all going to unfold.

Title The Glory
i loved the final arc, which seems to have the lowest-rated eps. i'm so surprised, those were the best imo. in…
I agree. I'm not too sure whether that's just his character or how he acts in general, but he was definitely better at being an emotionless lead, didn't see any growth in his character. The rest of the cast though (especially the female lead and the mom), killed it.

The rating score given by international netizens on this site is indeed quite overrated. Maybe it’s because…
That makes sense. I think a lot of the international fans lean towards the idol and romance genre, especially when it involves their favorite actors, hence the high scoring.

am i the only one who isn fully engaged in this drama:? it has so many filler episodes and boring scenes tbh,…
It's normal to feel so, I felt the same watching the first 10 episodes, I still recommend finishing the drama though, as it does pick up a bit later on.

Title Pursuit of Jade Spoiler
Halfway watching the drama, I found myself rooting for Prime Minister Wei. is it my fault that he's looking so…
He killed too many people for his own plan. Yes he was framed by the previous emperor at that time, he still silenced lots of innocent people, (including fan changyu's parents), to keep his secrets hidden. He even attempted to kill his own nephew, Xie zheng, to prevent him from doing so. The only reason he left changyu and her sister alive, is because of General He's threats.

Lusi is genuinely one of the most talented actresses in china. I've always believed that she was a great actress who was able to deliver her roles excellently. But her scenes in this drama feel much more raw, as if it's real life. I'm sure it's because of the hardships she went through recently. Alas, she's amazing and i wish her the best in her career.

Title Coroner's Diary Spoiler
Can anyone tell me if he is a villain / or responsible in some way for death of FL's father? I get strange vibes…
He is related to the FL's father's death, but not in a direct way. He reported him to the majesty, which led to his execution. You'll get what i mean in future episodes.
