She's definitely a creepy weirdo. I don't think she likes ML, but she IS odd. The way she treated her daughter in Episode 4 was very strange.

But I think I can safely say this is the first time I've seen a kiss used to stop a sneeze. 😅 It's maybe not one of the more romantic uses of the kiss, haha. 😉

Yes, and the way he reacted afterwards was adorable. He was channeling his high school boy persona at what happened and his face was perfect; the way he wriggled out of the way and clapped his hand over his mouth with an expression of pure horror. I was dying! 🤣

Definitely not done in the U.S. for high school if you're doing things properly and to protect yourself legally (as a teacher).

Besides, most kids have phones, and most of them have Gmail on their phones; it's almost as effective as a way to reach them, if necessary.

And specifically high school bullying. Don't think I've seen a single Kdrama set in high school without bullying of some kind.

It's just that I've seen many dramas I've enjoyed a lot more. That said, it was definitely my favorite among the ones I watched with him. He did a great job distinguishing between his robot and human self. ☺️

He's great in Are You Human Too?, but the drama itself is kind of average. It's not terrible, but it's not upper crust drama material. Same with When The Weather Is Fine. He does a really great job in both, but neither drama I loved, loved. Started Watcher but never finished it.

Ah, I see. Maybe I saw "original creator" and conflated that with screenwriter-- I just remember seeing something about the writer being the same. My bad!

But the actors for Sang Yan are completely different in each series so it doesn't feel related at all, as the ML for this is such a different vibe from Sang Yan in HL.

I also thought he wasn't as impressive as they kept saying he was in the drama (e.g. "he's the one carrying the team!" "he's the best among us!"). Maybe we haven't seen what he can do yet cause he's (mistakenly) assuming it's all a cake walk and being extra lackadaisical?

So true, the end of Reply 1988 packs a punch, and gives you a massive wallop in the feels. 😭 I was a mess when I finished the last episode.

Oh... I liked Season 2. 🫣 On a rewatch of both, I liked it better than Season 1! It shocked even me. 😅

I think they're very different. Still a well-written series, and while WHC1 does have themes of friendship and bullying and super violent fights, remove from it the warm and fuzzy feel of Study Group, the nice adults who care, and the policeman willing to get involved, and add some betrayal and a sprinkle of despair/helplessness that is never solved throughout, blatant child abuse, and you've got WHC1. 😅

Does anyone else think the ML feels a little bumbling and not very aware to be an NIS agent?

I guess none of his team figured the case would be that complicated? So he's being less careful? He just seems to be handling things a bit sloppily, especially with so much at stake (his job and everyone else's on his team).

Is the FL so worried about keeping her job that she forgot why she was there? If so, it was nice he put a little pebble in her shoe.

And my first question when they said they were going to investigate the golds' whereabouts was, "Why would anyone leave tons of gold in the same spot untouched for 65+ years?" 🤔
