Agreed! I wasn't expecting them to do that since the show's almost over and figured they weren't going to reunite them. But I thought the scene at the end was so fun with all the young people who grew up together (plus the cop 😂).

I'm becoming increasingly confused by Du Sik's hoobae; why did he stay with her instead of returning to Seoul? Does he like Mi Ran? Does he secretly like the town and the slow pace? Curious now...

Seok Hee finally has a correct theory... and the ending of Episode 10 was 👌. So cute that they're all back together.

I love that Baek Du could finally articulate what he lost 🥹 and I relished watching him put those gossipy ladies in their place.

Loved this week's episodes (might have been a tad too many scenes of villagers gossiping, but a great watch besides these scenes)!

It seems I'm going to break the momentum here from the many comments praising this drama. Admittedly, I should have done more research before starting it. Just in case anyone is going to start this due to the gushing comments, here are some things you might consider first...

I've decided I don't enjoy shows/movies that clearly set you up to root for villains (instead, the villain in this drama (portrayed as an anti-hero) drove me bonkers, and I couldn't stand how they kept trying to make them sympathetic; there is no way one human working alone can wisely, objectively and accurately determine who is worthy of death *shudder*). I also did not find any of the characters very likable (even Santa was just alright). I like to have someone to root for when I watch things, and no one surfaced for me in this drama. I have no idea how I finished it! Maybe I was curious to see if it would get better? (It didn't.)

If an indie, dark comedy movie that wanted to play with your mind in artsy, satirical ways was a drama, this would be it (and like some indie content, tries to appear "profound" and "poignant" when it really isn't). I don't usually mind nuanced or layered protagonists or villains who operate believably in the gray, but I draw the line at the cloudy murk these characters operated in. I also felt like it focused more on mood, vibe and aesthetic than plot and character development.

Also, Signal is on the "recommended" list, but please know it's a completely different vibe. If you loved that, you won't necessarily love this. The Devil Judge in some ways feels more reminiscent of this drama in tone and vibe (and flip flop the somewhat queer bromance in that for the sismance in this), but I still liked that better than this because TDJ made more sense, was less disjointed, did a better job fleshing out characters and showing you why you should root for them and had several, genuinely likeable characters.

To conclude, this one takes the cake for being my least favorite drama of all time (as of now). NOT my cup of tea.

I was wondering when the village gossips were going to notice Baek Du and Du Sik; not quite up to snuff on the level of nosiness expected! Took them much too long to smell the "affair" brewing... tsk, tsk. Dropping the ball!

P.S. Actually, I find it funny that it was one of the hubbies that started the rumor. So unexpected. 😂

It's a solid mix. Some very sweet, lighthearted moments (along with the ending, which is very cozy) and some dark and unpleasant moments interspersed throughout. Episode 1 will help you decide, maybe? It's a fantastic pilot episode.The bad dad and CEO might frustrate you, but the CEO tones down as the episodes progress, and in the bad dad's case, he gets a satisfying (for us as viewers) ending.

It's a wonder Hae Dal never considered what he proposed about her becoming a haenyeo since then her mom could do what she loved AND Hae Dal could protect her. Win, win! I do find it a bit odd that not once has she talked about her husband who died. We know nothing about him, except for his picture from the funeral. But yes, so far they have been very cute indeed!

Yes, I see whay you mean, but the drama doesn't go out of its way to show people getting flustered looking at them, or make comments about how sexy they look, etc., which it certainly could have. It's just shown as something that's all in a day's work. That's all I meant. :)

I'm also in between! Keep coming because I am enjoying the characters and their development (however slow), the setting in Jeju, etc., but it's not on my "best ever" list nor my least enjoyed list, but I don't feel tempted to skip things, so that's a big plus in its favor. :) (Though I'm getting tempted with the more recent Sang Do scenes, as he is becoming superfluous; I just want the friends to all be friends again; and I miss the Reply 1988 vibes it was giving us in the beginning!)

I don't know, healing dramas with romance tend to have the climax related to the point of tension and misunderstanding that needs resolution, forgiveness or healing that intertwines with the love line in some way (I'm thinking of dramas like Oh My Venus and Go Back Couple, just to name a few). And this is most definitely a story about all our characters healing, not just the leads, since all of them have had their suffering they are still healing from. That's how I see it, at least.

It might go up a bit once it finishes? Some users (like me), might wait to rate it until it's over. It's possible! Especially if the last two episodes end strong. 😊

But it doesn't sexify (is that a word? haha) the ssireum wrestlers or make a big deal about them being shirtless (which I appreciate). And the shirtless look is not across the board flattering for all the wrestlers...

Then you might want to switch genres, haha, cause they're not going away... between these two tropes, you've covered a feature of like 80-90% of romantic Kdramas. They're melded with this entertainment medium in so many ways.

In fact, now that we know more about how much he loves ssireum, and how little he cares about winning (is it possible he only wanted to win because Du Sik wanted to see it happen?), I've become increasingly puzzled by him wanting to quit, which before made perfect sense since he was not "doing well" at it in the first few episodes. But now we know he never really cared about doing well. I suppose he got temporarily jaded? And all he needed was a gentle nudge (maybe not so gentle 🙄; more like a series of smacks!) from his Muse to rekindle his love. 😅
