I just hope they won't use Wooju as a plot tool to build romantic relationship btw leads. It can make Hyun-jin's…
I think it's being used as a way to showcase the ML's character and positive qualities. He never had any intention or reason to impress her, so his attentiveness to Woo Joo demonstrates very positive qualities about him as a person (and as a potential long-term romantic interest). It's like getting to see what kind of dad your partner would be before you get to choose whether you want to date/be with him. Perks! 😅
It was the leads standing together with swords crossing over one another in like a superhero-ish fight stance (with the colors of gold and black). It was fine. I like this one better, I think.
It’s #1 on Viki too, although Viki’s Top 20 isn’t an indicator of quality — #2 is Positively Yours 🙄🫣
Oh my, haha. I was excited for a Hong sisters project with Seon Ho and Yoon Jung, but I was turned off by the comments about the split personality stuff. So I never got to it. Probably never will. 😏
I don't know why she is that thin, and she is not the only one actress that thin. I don't know if Korean people…
And in addition to the extreme thinness of Chinese actors, some of the face work some Chinese actors get done is borderline frightening. Korean celebs tend to be a bit more tasteful/subtle with the plastic surgery (though not always), but I've seen some genuinely disturbing features in Cdramas that just make me cringe for some actors. I wish we could have more Asian actors like Jackie Li who just looks like a normal, healthy actress. I so admire her for keeping her natural features (from what I can see) intact. Unfortunately, I'm sure the industry makes it really hard, and fans don't help by slobbering over all the unrealistically gorgeous actors, but even some healthy representation is welcome over none!
I was so sad for the actor playing the ML in Joy Of Life in Season 2. He went from being a healthy looking man in Season 1 to being positively gaunt in Season 2. One shot showed his hand and it did look like a skeleton's hand. 🫣😬😳
I really love this show so far. The characters are perfectly imperfect and the baby is to die for. So cute! The…
Perfectly imperfect is a good way of putting it. Kdramas write characters like this when they're at their best (and it's not easy to do as they can very easily and quickly become annoying if not written correctly; the best dramas write characters that are quite flawed, but grow a ton by the end)! Love the character arcs. It's what keeps me coming back to them. 🥰
I won't belabour the point but just stating facts. I am Asian myself and have had several friends who were extremely…
I've been seeing some women on social media platforms talk about the trend back towards unhealthy thinness depicted in media again. Obviously it was a huge issue in the early 2,000s, but, alas, now it seems to be having another resurgence everywhere. Apparently a lot of celebrities and people in general are using the diabetes medication Ozempic for fast weightloss? Bummer!
🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️
