Title The K2
This is one instance where I agree with those who say JCW did have better chemistry with the FL's mom. 😅 That's…
By chemistry I mean I could feel more sexual tension between the stepmom and ML (I agree she had a weird thing for him, and I think he used it to manipulate her since he knew she was not a great person. He never actually loved her, obviously, but I think he read the room and used it to his advantage). And their scenes had more of the sexual tension I normally see between the leads of a drama. The ML's interactions with the FL were cute and sweet, but that was about it. The FL was definitely mostly a plot device in this drama. The leads were fine, but I mostly enjoyed all of Ji Chang Wook's actions scenes, not the romance. 😏

Yes! So I kind of have you and other disgruntled fans to thank for my favorable take on this. 😉

True! But I think these frustrating elements can be overlooked or worked past if the big picture is kept in focus. Not that I don't get the annoyance. Hearing people slam it actually helped me calibrate accordingly. 😅

i love their love confession scene, it feels realistic and really sincere, cute
The way he spun her around on the workout machine to avoid eye contact cause he felt so awkward. 😅

That twig can act and has good comedic timing. That's more important than getting some roid monkey who's never…
This made me laugh!

Eunji is so good in loud roles like this!
I loved how both leads matched their insane, dorky energy. 😅 When she was explaining to her sister about the blind date she went on--so many little endearing moments in there! Her mannerisms were so cute.

This was actually pretty adorable. I had watched the first episodes when it was airing, then took a break and revisited it, finishing it in one go.

The humor is cringe and over-the-top, yet sometimes I genuinely howled with laughter. And the leads are so funny and SOOO dorky that sometimes it hurts. 😅

The ex boyfriend and girlfriend coming into the story was also handled in a refreshing way, and not a part of the story in a way you'd expect.

It's not much of a romance drama, if you're looking for that; instead, it's more about how to become a healthier version of yourself (not just physically) as a WHOLE PERSON, which results in an added perk of automatically becoming a better boyfriend or girlfriend, which we got to appreciate for slightly longer than one episode.😉 (The way the ML discovered he likes the FL was precious and a very original reveal).

I enjoyed watching Do Hyeong Joong become more human, and the antics and growth arcs of the gym members.

Loved the voice over of the last few minutes of Episode 12 about the stories our bodies tell. I thought that was actually so beautiful!

Cute, cringy, quirky, and super heartfelt. Enjoy!

No children (that we see), but eventually their marriage becomes real. :) Not sure about the novel!
There is more later. :)

So far, he just seems ambitious to the point of being willing to compromise any values he might have had before…
Right! Haven't gotten there yet, but he's clearly a guy who used to be nicer but has grown worse over time (his female guard indicates that to me, too, based on how she treats him (she obviously likes him, too)).

I’m seeing mixed comments about this drama, is it disappointing? I was really looking forward to it, waiting…
There are some fun and entertaining parts, and I like the leads, but the story, writing and plot require a lot of suspension of disbelief.

(One example: imagine you're watching a Shakespeare comedy so that you can get into the head space of watching an obvious girl playing a guy and somehow in the story fooling everyone into thinking she's a guy. 😅)

The fighting scenes are epic, Someone please recommend something similar, whilst I wait for all episodes.
Ever Night has the best fighting scenes I've ever seen in a Cdrama (among those I've seen).

Chu Zhao is an annoying and treacherous gone boy.
So far, he just seems ambitious to the point of being willing to compromise any values he might have had before he was ambitious, and selfish.

It definitely has undertones of sexual tension. I've watched friendship bromance, and more is definitely implied…
Oh, I didn't ship them. I thought the director did. 😅 But he wasn't making a BL, so this was the best he could manage (imo). 😉

I usually try to see friendship where more is implied (because I think nonromantic friendship between men (as well as between women) should be protected), but I couldn't pull it off with this one.

Title The Devil Judge Spoiler
It definitely has undertones of sexual tension. I've watched friendship bromance, and more is definitely implied…
I saw it as Gaon's resemblance to his brother drew Yohan to Gaon initially, and after that something romantic was formed in him towards Gaon that grew from affection.

The line that confirmed it for me: when Yohan was reminiscing about Gaon living with him and Elijah in Episode 13, Yohan sits down to play cards with them in his daydream, and it shows him admiring/missing Gaon. As he looks at him, Yohan speaks in voice over, "I don't care if mankind goes extinct, as long as I have you." (That just sounds like something a lover would say; if I were to say that about my sister or a close friend, I wouldn't phrase it that way).

Also, the plethora of shirtless scenes between them, the long stares, angst and the fact that they live together for much of the drama. I'd be willing to admit Gaon was clueless, but Yohan was aware, he just never said anything because he knew Gaon believed he loved Su Hyeon and the last half of the drama watched Gaon mourn her death.

For the record, I don't watch BL. This is not like bromance I've seen in any other drama with straight romance that has bromance.

It wasn't overt, but there was intention in the way their dynamic was shot, and it was definitely implied.

He's very beautiful. Some of his acting mannerisms and expressions remind me of Cha Eun Woo.
😅😅 It wasn't necessarily a dis on either of them. CEW is maybe not the most amazing actor out there, but he's also not terrible. Just a bit stiff. But there's of course no denying he's quite pretty to look at.
