i think the pacing was good regarding the character development of xiaofan, he didnt went from all shy timid to like a super villain.
he tolerated and tolerated as years go by. each sitaution, each misunderstandings were adding weight on his patience. you could see how he couldnt handle when luxin and his sister were fighting , to raising his voice to his brother.
i didnt expect him to do all since i was away from all spoilers but damn i was shocked he pulled this move and even lu qing didnt see it coming until it was too late. from the last episode, what hurt him the most was the misunderstanding from luqing. i get it luqing was protected him but it is a very painful way for xiaofan since he is very gentle.
one thing i like was how carefree he was with luqing at the end compared to before. if luqing was in the kitchen before, xiaofan would panicked and pushed him out to do everything. he was still telling what luqing did wrong in the kitchen but he was very carefree.
all that stock prices thing was a bit confusing to follow up and i was a bit confused certain parts but i was able to follow along. i am glad i didnt watch this ongoing i would go crazy like DH. honestly i enjoyed mostly cause of xiaofan nature. his gentle personality for me was very heart touching. i would mind if i get a xiaofan and he fed me all kind of soup everyday even though i dont drink soup often. now i am curious about soup and porridge.
i waited for the show to end to start watching the serie.
