I know it’s useless to talk about logics but at this point wouldn’t it be so much easier and better to just take a loan from him or taking her mother to court instead of deceiving Lu Xixiao and potentially ruin his future as well as dreams???

Now I’m interested… How did they actually meet in the novel though? I somewhat also felt like their first meeting was a bit abrupt in a way or at least just somewhat awkward

It was truly for the aesthetics😂
For once I’m glad that I haven’t read the novel before watching this. I think I might have been disappointed too or just had way too high expectations . It was somewhat the same thing that happened for me with LOTFG. But as of now I think the drama is quite sweet and comforting to watch though unlogical at times😭
Right?! I had to pause for a moment there as not to cringe. I love the drama but the only thing I could think about the whole time was all the bacteria in the water or how the fish could die living in a HUMAN swimming pool😭
I know you shouldn’t think about logic when watching a cdrama but the way they put all those fish in the old swimming pool and then proceeded to jump in themselves really took me aback😭
So Mr. Zhu might also be a hallucination of Yeli’s? If so it’s also quite a clever way of working around Bai Lu’s health problems when filming this drama…
I started this out of boredom but it actually surprised me a lot and I like the first four episodes. The male leads are really cute together though I thought Zhou Wan was supposed to be more introverted an shy while I imagined Lu Xixiao to be more aggressive in a way. But I do like it so no complaints as of now
She's so complex it makes my head hurt but I also enjoy seeing her working around it.
She is indeed intriguing and a quite interesting character. It’s also my first time watching a borderline schizophrenic female lead in a historical drama😂
So from what I’ve gathered, YeLi is somewhat the sole survivor of a massacre at Lishan Academy and is therefore suffering from hallucinations/scizophrenia because she is refusing to fully accept the reality. Qingshuang is also one of her hallucinations but at times also a reflection of what she herself is truly feeling. So like both a hallucination, coping mechanism and part of herself too all at the same time. I find it quite interesting though that she does seem to be somewhat of the reality seen by the way she has kept all those letters in a box. She is a quite interesting character. Not just the typical Mary Sue I think.
