This drama is so good lmao....Jung So Min is really carrying the show emotionally. I can see the romance being super subtle which i really like. Romance isnt always fiery and loud, sometimes is as gentle as snowfall.
Also as to why Seok Ryu didnt go back to the fiance: he loved the happy version of her, the strong version of her and the rock bottom line that he said vs Cho Seung Hyo telling her they could go rock bottom TOGETHER. Thats the difference in love that they both have towards Seok Ryu. Not that one is inferior to another, its just the way she needs to be loved. She says she will always be scared of the future and that she does not want what happened in the past to repeat.
Seok Ryu is strong. But she needs someone she can be weak with. Someone who will encourage her and not burden her with expectation. Unlike her parents, her ex--both Moeum and Choisseung never berated her, instead just let her be herself. In particular, Choisseung as a male lead makes so much sense that i didnt feel like i got sml syndrome.

I lost braincells smh if they were gonna do it serious then they shouldve committed to making a dark gritty one (like The double) if they were going for light then they shouldve led it like Blossom (also sorta like enemies to lovers) .
Its like one set of writers are writing court intrigue and danger while the others want a romance.....and theyre visions are clashing too much that theyve lost the plot.
i swear to god the main lead is such a great actor but he always picks such weak writing dramas....
I wonder why ml is going through so many similar xianxia projects.....he could try modern ones....hes just ram heading through historical romances. ( Zhang linghe, for eg, is doing well and choosing a variety of scripts)
Meng Ziyi also needs to be careful because shes on the rise after Blossom and has to showcase better dramas, this is a lowkey downgrade for her (her next drama seems so interesting, i might bypass this for that)
