it's not a sad ending...just open ending, leaves a lot of possibilities for "hopefully" a season 2
Maybe season 2 wont happen but when Hae Soo went back to her world Wang So vowed to go and find her ...maybe he will or maybe he wont hence the open ending

I'm stuck at episode 18 now that I found out about the sad ending... Don't know if I can handle it...
