But I like that the plot is moving along at a nice pace without any drag or anything of that nature. Good.

the main problem with this drama is that some important narratives of ML had been planted to the side role acted…
But that’s not the actor’s fault that’s all on production of something was changed or somebody had more scenes or whatever it is. I hope people aren’t blaming the actors.

She didn’t have to be. She involved him 3 years ago and looked what happened. All her plans are for amateurs. I understand her want for revenge but she and her crew involve innocent ppl. He deserves justice too because once she left him with her fake death, she didn’t suffer any more; his never stopped as we keep seeing.
As the actress explained during promos; the drama did something different. It combined the souls of Xihe and Gu to create a third person with experiences and memories of both.
Empress dowager certainly is a suspect. Don’t know what her motives are though
According to novel readers, it’s because she lost her beloved only son in that war and the actual emperor is adopted. What she doesn’t know is that ML is her actual biological grandson not the son of the emperor. The emperor is more like his adopted uncle I guess. I don’t know what they’re going to show us and if they’re even going to reveal the truth behind everything I hope they do and keep it consistent.
