I think that had she been upfront with him in the beginning things would probably be less bumpy. But until we…
I do think that she fell for him as well because in the very beginning when they were talking about their characters, I remember they did an interview and she said that she fell for him just like he fell for her, but she still had a mission to do or something else to do that she kept secrets. So she lied to him on purpose. I have a feeling his bro, just based on that may also be part of that resistance. Because in the current synopsis toward the end, it says that once they had started to resolve all of their past issues and rekindle their love a national disaster occurred which if you look at the time period could only be the invasion by Japan so right before World War II broke out. So in that tone, I would say they would be working together. Maybe she had already started doing all of this anti-war stuff when this whole thing went down.
Ep 3 - done 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭.The whole sequence makes my heart break for Qingyi. Those hauntingly beautiful…
I think that had she been upfront with him in the beginning things would probably be less bumpy. But until we know the whole story from what was going on on her side, we won’t know what the name of the game is. Maybe she’s part of some sort of resistance or something.
I popped back in here just to see what people‘s opinions were and lord so many folks already bashing the damn thing and it only popped out five episodes. I happen to take a look at the intros because I was curious whether both platforms were subbing and yes, they’re AI; so my response to that is just skip intro because I always skip intro. I only ever watch intro the very first episode. It never makes me judge a drama before I even watch it. Obviously not a fan of AI, but from what I saw in the previews looks like the drama will be awesome as republican era is always gorgeous and the plot seems to be one that moves along. So when I watch later on this afternoon, that’s what I hope to see. Still a little confused on the timing as I asked below, but if only the first day is not primetime, that’s fine. Either case I’m 12 hours behind and I will watch during my own afternoon or early evening time. I’ll make the decision of whether this drama is worth it myself after five episodes for me personally, but I don’t think an intro should derail someone’s wish to watch the actual drama. I mean many dramas have cartoons as their intro and are just fine. Just my 2 cents 🤷🏻♀️.
It's available on both IQIY and Wetv/Tencent with subs. 5 episodes on each; well personally start in the afternoon so look forward to your thoughts to those who are starting to watch now.
