LOL… She didn’t even try to explain herself. She just kept denying everything like none of it ever happened....…
The thrift shop one? No, I don’t think so. Her mother or sister whatever she is they share the same alien DNA. I mean, I’ve watched so many Republican era dramas and I have never seen an ugly costume ever from neither men or women and to see multiple ones on her, it’s like they took her annoying personality, that’s supposed to be mistaken for quirky and came out with those ensembles.
The director better take a long vacation before I catch him... and the editor too.
Director has been working on a different series with WCR and CZY as leading man this time. It’s a fantasy drama; republican/Tang and Song dynasties. I personally don’t have a problem with the acting or plot and the fact ppl are talking about it, is a good thing.
At least, he deserves a proper apology as a human lol.But who knows, Su Su also hates Murong, may be her family…
According to all the synopses that I have read, they are going to start resolving their issues before war breaks out, so that’s a catalyst, but I wonder what will finally make her realize that she needs to not only tell him everything but that they could work together, and they do eventually work together in the whole war thing, but I wonder whether they still have to deal with that perv family on top of the war.
The fact that in today’s episodes, she literally in her head asked is what happened three years ago so important to you made me sort of think that she’s a bit of sociopath because knowing that he went to prison and had that happen to him the assault and mutilation rendering his medical career pretty much gone for a murder she committed whether on purpose or not, and not even telling him about it just saying, I never meant to hurt you was just strangely detached, considering she was all calling some famous doctor and trying to figure out how to fix his hand. It was not quite what I was expecting from her character, especially given the fact that she wants to take revenge on people and supposed to have trauma. Someone with trauma doesn’t act like that towards someone else with trauma, especially after learning that the other person’s trauma is from their own actions. At least the prison part not the growing up with the raving lunatic for a mother part.

I saw a clip and though not in front of their mom he did open his mouth finally and at least tell off the staff and the other bitch aka his sister or aunt or whoever that walking thrift shop POS is. I mean never thought I’d say this but in a republican era drama they somehow found a way to make ugly ass costumes!
ZLH does an interview talking about his character, picking the script and even having some input into some of his own scenes like one in the rain. The caption above does translate a lot so helpful: https://weibo.com/2591595652/5323072315851569

The original synopsis doesn’t match up with what we see in the story she and all those people came from an orphanage now whether they were kidnapped or stolen or had no parents we don’t know, but his family had absolutely nothing to do with any of that. it was that one family and that’s who she wants to destroy along with that group of women who were obviously part of some sort of child trafficking into adulthood ring.
But yes, she owes him a full apology and a full explanation and he needs to be able to either accept it or reject it. Obviously, he still wants to be with her, but she’s on her mission of destroying that family and until they’re destroyed and her mission is complete on her own or with the group of women or he joins, we will have to see.
I think as a human being, she understands his pain now that she knows she caused it, but her mission in life and everything else goes above all of it so she also has to let go of her own trauma and work through it however she does.

Maybe he knows something but he’s got to speak up for his brother to his pathetic mom. If he says he cares but the family is all but kissing the pervert family’s ass. Just 🤮.
She knows now and continues to find out just how horrible his entire upbringing was not just the 3 years in jail but what his raving bitch mother says and does to him and she still does that? I mean yes if he hadn’t had the assault in prison he probably would’ve left and gone to a different city to practice medicine so she essentially thanks to her lack of contingency planning plus him being there erased that and trapped him essentially; he deserves an entire explanation.
Wow, the hell the FL and her friends went through in that orphanage, I understand they want revenge but her ill thought through plan of rescue, ended up in murder that sent him to prison and forever stripped of his beloved career for a crime he didn't commit. The least she could have done is finally told him the truth. I know we're in the beginning but he has a right to know that.
Meanwhile, I want his mother to marry that disgusting white haired pervert. The raving bitch and the pervert; match made in hell. That entire family is filled with perverts; absolutely sickening. Felt very bad for the female pilot that had to endure the grabbing.
Older brother is a grown man and can't stand up to his mother who constantly physically and verbally abuses his brother. He does it subtly but not enough to put her in her place once and for all. He should find out about his brothers scar, maybe it would give him more incentive. Dude needs to grow some balls.
I have questions:1. How many republican dramas you guys watched before this one?2. How many of you are just watching…
1. A lot. 2. Rarely, though this one had the appeal because of ZLH and XZX. But I prefer storyline over all. It has to be solid. There has to be a plot and subplots are fine as long as they don't overshadow the main plot. 3. Check out my watchlist, they're there. 4. No expectations. I start each drama regardless of genre the same. Also, I never compare dramas even if in the same genre because each is unique in its own way. Besides, a drama ppl hate may be a drama I love and Vice versa. I don't trust many ppls opinions especially those that parrot 🦜 one another. Life is about personal experience and choice. I'll start watching something and continue if I like it or discontinue if I don't. I also don't rate until I'm done. I used to review each drama but now due to health reasons, I pick and choose which and my reviews if I do them are much different. Health comes first. All the other questions I've either already answered or don't make sense. Oh and I like modern, historical or Republican but not vertical. As long as there's a solid storyline that speaks to me and if someone I follow is in the cast that doesn't hurt either.
