It was actually worse when it was hot. We had to wait until it got to lukewarm. Even to this day when I smell one of the three herbs that went into that concoction makes me want to gag. Funny thing, was years later my father had to drink it for a while and boy did he whine lol! My mom was like “your daughter had to drink that as a child and didn’t make a peep…you a grown ass man….shut up!” 🤣🤣🤣

I’ve had some old Soviet remedies, you can’t get as pills and that’s some nasty shit. Bitter is a nice word in comparison. I remember having to drink it 3 times a day as a kid; it helped with the ailment better then any western medicine would but even cooking it would stink the house up; had to open windows even in the winter. So can totally relate though I didn’t whine just grumbled and even candy didn’t help. Just hold your nose, don’t breathe and drink lol.
