That Ep 39 smack down was nice. They unleashed a can of whoop ass on those villains. All secrets revealed and I liked the ending (in the extra episode); way better than Heroes. It fit the character and the rest of the drama nicely. It being nearly 2am my time; I’ll def need to think about this review and where I’d place my rating. I’ll probably rewatch some parts of it. I can say this is the first really great costume drama of 2023 for me; not perfect but will get a good score. That and Wuxia is my favorite genre with a nice storyline. Not saying goodbye yet. Will still hang around.

Just finished and I prefer OE too. It’s fitting to his character and like you said it doesn’t make sense for him to be alive 3 months after disappearing and them finding him together at that beach. Plus they were searching different locations so to show up there, simultaneously with the dog that recognized him too, showed that he was still alive. So I like this ending then him just dying and everyone being sad. Way better.

She was nuts from the beginning; that’s not his thing. Plus considering he hates betrayal the most; her actions just made him push her further away. We saw how he treated LLH and FDB. You can’t expect someone to love you just because you love them.

But I think after this time around expires, I’ll probably make Tencent monthly too.

I’m a bit lost so help me out here. You were bored with this drama but either watched thru 34 and paid extra to finish it (which makes even less sense if it’s so boring and bad) or you dropped it at some point but are still here to complain today. Not saying this drama is for everyone but why go through the trouble of saying how bad it is? Seriously curious. Most ppl just drop and move on to something they like. 🤷🏻‍♀️
