Very true. I'm a PhD student myself though without kids, it's a hell of a journey that only 3% of Americans finish. But though very hard, it's worth it if that's your dream. But there's also the fact that Asian culture is very different ours. For many women, it's easier sometimes to stay in that victim mindset than to forge ahead and make something of herself.
