Well not with everyone though; I mean she glued herself to QiQi from the moment they met. So it's really if she feels ppl giving her affection or recognition--something she's lacked all of her life--she latches onto that. Same with her father, 3rd aunt, uncle, brothers. All of these ppl she's never met that come into her life but show her the love she craves. Sadly, the one person she needs love and affection from most is either unaware of that fact or is just too stubborn to show it aka mommy dearest.
The story has always been about the fml, her relationships and her growth in the novel this show is adapted from.
They need to balance the backstories in dramas; very unfair when you get it one-sided like that; it's like what's the point of the character if theres no beginning? Makes for rather lopsided plot.

I don't mind it either, I just want more of his backstory so it's not confusing to the plot. And yes as many scenes together as possible that last more 5 minutes.

Yeah, she wants to fly like that hawk in the sky but sadly the world she lives in, isn't as freeing especially if she marries into the wrong family with jealous, obnoxious women like the ones she grew up with.
