"Chant of the Water Dragon" is the story of Tang Lici who must uncover the full extent of the entities…
This was nice, especially the sand in your eyes portion you live in the middle of the desert? It was very well written though all kidding aside.

thanks for sharing ! I’m not finished yet either so trying to avoid reading comments until I finished lol
I’m the opposite I love spoilers. I just prefer people to talk about the show and not whine about which characters didn’t have enough screen time. Those are the comments I avoid lol.

Have you finished watching WoF?
Yeah, I’ve watched both. I know that the rest will pack a punch, especially with the peach peacock, chick, manipulating everyone and killing master what’s his face. And then of course as per theme of this series framing ML because what else is there to do? I know she’s not working alone. I have spoken to people who have told me different details and spoilers and stuff because I live in breathe off spoilers, but yeah because unfortunately, even the page on YouTube has ground to a halt on good subs so I will probably just wait until IQ because they seem to have the best ones and today they should be getting 36 and it’s one a day so I can either watch one a day or I can double up or whatever it is There’s only five episodes left. It’s not like half the show if it was half the show it probably would’ve dropped it if I had to deal with this kind of nonsense with the subbing. But they’re going to pack a wall up into these next five I know that for sure but at least the end is going to be interesting. I’ve already been told it, and I saw a clip of it so I know what to expect so to speak.

I completely agree with that. I was actually just going to type that she saw the evidence and yet she was still…
She’s being kept in the dark we all agree that that’s incorrect but at the same time, my whole thing is as the emperor he promised her master not to tell her. As an emperor if you break that promise, does that make you worthy of trust from the nation that you run essentially. And you’re saying that he’s the only one who has been lying and manipulating her that’s incorrect because her entire family has been doing that her father has lied to her. Her brother has lied to her. Her master has lied to her. No one has told her that they’re these awful bad people. She didn’t know that she has been promised to marry the emperor since they were both kids. She’s been manipulated by all the people around her, especially those she trusts. It’s not wrong for her to go find answers, but she also has to be able to objectively view those answers and not just the ones that make her feel cozy.

Have you finished watching WoF?
Nope, it's one episode a day plus the subs are crappy so I'll probably finish Friday last day of VIP.

There’s so much still to do when they have to return back from the enemies to the lovers thing so she has to smarten up pretty quickly. They have a lot of enemies to fight both in the palace and out of it so things have to happen plus, of course the fighting of the martial arts aspect I’m looking forward to. I hope they do a lot of that. And they’re both fighters so I do hope that both Parties are shown.

I mean, according to the website synopsis she’s joining him to investigate that gang or sect, whatever they are organization and she’s going to find out some hard truths so she will have to face it because the people are relying on her as Empress if she’s going to be the one investigating and showing her face around, she can’t be hiding behind Unicorns and rainbows and fairytales.

I understand what you’re saying. But the mask and the book were obviously not fake and were exactly identical to what she saw the writing impression on the leather mask. It was not something that was created overnight. Draft sure all this other stuff why not I will go with that he’s leading her somewhere. It was kind of obvious from the looks he gave, but she was the one who opened the drawers in the seller. She was the one that said wait a minute that’s not my masters wife who is this woman to me honestly that looks like the Empress Dowager’s picture or painting whatever they call it even she said that it looked familiar and then in the bottom drawer, she finds that; like she reads the book herself. It’s not like he’s reading it to her. She’s seeing in the writing, what she saw on those kids. The mask is identical to what she saw with her own two eyes in the forest. She knows the name ghost King, so it’s not a foreign concept to her. She can be in shock, but she’s gotta be a little less “this is impossible” to “what does it mean? Let me think about it.” Not run back to the palace and accuse the ML of planting evidence like that was probably one of the stupidest things.

I don’t necessarily understand what you mean by typical FL there are a lot of typical FLS. I just think that the way she reacted to the mask and the book considering the fact that she recognized both and understood both was kind of like wait you’re trying to find the truth and yet you’re ignoring what’s right in front of you. As for the ML making that promise yeah I wouldn’t have really put too many sense into it either. He should’ve just come out and told her. She’s grieving one way or another. But then again seeing how she’s reacting now if he had told her, would she even have believed him? So I’m wondering just how much would it take for her to finally get that sense knocked into her.

She was already presented with the truth the mask that she clearly recognized, and the manifesto from that boat filled with slave, children and rock something formula that turned regular kids into these invincible zombies, all of which she saw with her own eyes, and she still threw that away as being impossible. So what exactly in her mind is possible? If she’s holding the mask that she saw on the dude and then she’s reading in the book what she saw on those kids. It doesn’t get any more real than that. Even if it was planted by her family, all of which she still has to find out. But then that begs the question if she can’t even wrap her mind around items and put two and two together which we obviously saw in her head do then how will she ever believe that her father and adopted brother are part of this horrible organization? She sees wrong in other places like what’s going on in the palace, but in her own little world, only others can be at fault. She could be in shock, but she can’t dismiss the idea altogether the way she did.

I think you meant if she can't handle the truth, what can she handle but the fact that literally everyone keeps her in the dark, her husband included is stupid. They wanted to keep the truth from her and yet it's all around her so if she's going to be stubborn about it, then see it for what it is and not what you want it to be. Even her father and brother wanted to get that portion of things out of the way by basically I guess placing all the blame on her master, but that didn't work. If she couldn't believe that, how will she believe that they are in charge of that entire Slavery and Lord knows what else operation? Like at some point, she's got to open her pretty little eyes and not just look at other people's problems, but what's going on in her own life. The man who risked his life a few times to save hers yes he killed her master and he even said I made him a promise as the sovereign of this nation not to tell you and she still like a Jack-in-the-Box, "Why did you kill my master? Why did you kill my master? Why did you kill my master?" I'm a bit on the fence about a sovereign of a nation, giving his word to essentially a serial killer and not breaking his promise. He's not a priest or a monk or a minister but at the same time if an emperor breaks his promise does that make him Untrustworthy? So that one's a little hinky, but if after hearing him say that he made a promise and she's blaming him for planting evidence, I have to wonder what floats around in that girl's head.

If those kids have to face the horrible things her master did to them, then she should have to face the truth.…
I completely agree with that. I was actually just going to type that she saw the evidence and yet she was still like nope I don’t believe it. And then blaming ML for possibly planting shit like girl what are you even thinking? Because he’s got so much time on his hands and not enough people already stabbing him in the back to also mess with your brain. So if she’s going to find out the truth, she has to start believing the truth. I mean, when even the unrequited love, brother guy is pointing to it and he knew the actual truth and she’s still not getting it. I really want to smack my palm against my forehead. 🤦🏻‍♀️
